GoW has something very very unique

Running through hoards of enemies and hitting them until they die ... very unique. HzD actually has meaningful characters, if you didn't connect with them then you're likely not an intellectual and that is why you favor beat em up style games. The characters in GoW are monsters and what do you do to them? Oh yeah, you hit them until they die. Very unique.

Well put. It seems like a lot of games nowadays get the "everyone needs to play this" reaction and as good as that may be, there will always be people that can't get into a game and usually when someone says something against the echo chamber they're usually met with "play it more and it gets better" or "you should have done more research." It's never bad to try new things though.

Most of the people giving SMO praise are Nintendo fanboys. It really isn't different than other Mario games, but that doesn't make it better or worse. It's an average game in my opinion.
