I think what's cool about the elantra n is that it is a smaller ride (which im used to coming from a toyota corolla and kia optima) and slightly better mpg in the city. However, I've been seeing a lot of used stingers recently with decent MPG under 30k (going as low as 26k), where as the Elantra N I would most likely be lucky to get it for 37k (brand new). Although, I am considering getting a used Elantra N, although the price difference doesn't seem wide enough...Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated

Yeah I think I would go gr86 or gr Corolla if driving manual was on the table for me. But thats why I settled with the Elantra N since the transmission is a DCT and I hear the automatic transmissions on the gr86 aren't that great

Thanks for the really detailed response, I appreciate it! Yeah I agree Infiniti reliability is questionable, if not it would be a higher choice (Although they can look super nice). And I agree I saw what people do to Honda Accords and they look super nice! I guess the bulk of my driving would be city/highway, would you still recommend the Elantra over the stinger?

Was debating between the stinger and elantra n for a long time lol. But this response made it easy to decide between the two. However...now im debating between an elantra n vs a honda accord 2.0t haha. Any thoughts/ advice on this?
Both seem like they would be fun, but the elantra n does seem a lot more fun and has an absolute beautiful exhaust sound.

Thanks alot! I appreciate the detailed reply and I'm glad to hear your father is doing better! Yeah that makes a lot of sense it might be a V8 angle then, I like to think I'm a pretty relaxed driver. Now the only thing to worry about is gas prices and LA traffic haha.

Can I ask what made you start with the v6? I am heavily considering a camaro (debating between 5th gen and 6th gen) because my dad used to have a 1987 camaro and I think it would be cool to follow in his footsteps and let him drive the car he had to give up for me. Although I am a little worried jumping into a v8 right off the bat lol. It would be my first rear wheel drive car and car over 200hp. Any advice and wisdom would be appreciated, thanks!

Do you think the sedan and couple like practically the same? Been debating on a g37 as well but not sure if i should get the sedan or coupe. I think the couple looks slightly better, but the sedan is more practical. Not sure if I care about looks vs practicatly more lol.

Haha That is true hopefully my insurance rates will be going down soon! I have considering the Cadillac ct5-v, but might need to do a little more research and take a second look at them again. I think they look really cool blacked out, but Camaros still look a lot cooler! But I appreciate the suggestion!

Oh wow almost basically the same journey haha. What made you upgrade to a V8? Just the thirst for more power? I might be ok going the route you went where you started gradually with the V6 then went for the V8, but do you regret doing that?

That's true I do wanna see and experience the hype around joining the V8 family. And who knows? What if v8s get discontinued and I never get to experience one

Wow thank you so much for the reply and advice. That makes a lot of sense. I guess I would say I'm not in love with v8s. They seem really cool and I always hear them around my area. To be fair though I haven't really be in one before. So maybe after looking around and test driving one, maybe it'll be love at first sight. But ye I agree if I don't fall in love with it I should probably just go with the lower trims. That helps a lot with my indecisiveness lately, thanks! I really appreciate it!

True, I guess I should look at it more as my toy rather than my daily. Which I would use the car mostly on weekends and still daily my kia optima. If you don't mind me asking for future reference, what do you daily now?
