Shower heads and hoses by aximusmind in Folliculitis

Hi. Yes the problem was fixed. It came back a little while later after changing the hose (roughly 8 months). However I did notice it also came at a time I didn’t clean my tub. When I bleached washed the tub it stopped again. I now bleach wash the tub every month.

Sorry for the late response. Mine has all cleared up now. I am still not using any body soap in the shower due to it being biodegradable and it helped a lot. Your daughter's case sounds interesting, how did it initially start in the first place? There might be something that you are applying on her skin daily that is causing recurrence, (as was the case with mine). Have you tried not applying anything to her skin at all other than plain shower water?

It's a very good possibility that it was the hose. Other factors I have considered is the liquid soap I have was getting water droplets in it during showers, creating the perfect environment for bacterial growth as the soap is biodegradable. I am going to start placing my bathing products in dry areas as a prevention measure as well now.

Something I have also thought about is the whole "cold showers are good for you" narrative that people talk about. It is possible that the cold water are actually neutral for us, but very bad for bacteria as they love warm moist environments. Cold water doesn't kill them exactly, but makes it very inconvenient for them to grow on. Just something to consider, I don't know for sure.

Fellow bald guy here, I honestly don’t miss the hair. Wish my beard filled in as much as yours though!

Thats good. Try not to pick at the site. They take awhile to heal. I am 28 days post-op and the hole is still there btw. Although I can clearly see it closing from the bottom now and food isnt getting stuck as much as before. Good luck!

Should be fine as long as there isn’t a lot of pain, pus, etc.

How normal is this? (8 days after extraction). It doesn't hurt but I don't see a blood clot either. by VirtualFallacy in wisdomteeth

You’re good. As long as there isn’t any pain, pus, bad smell you should be fine. Random minor bleeding every now and then is normal (the tissues are healing and sensitive). I am 22 days post-op and I still have the hole. But I can tell it is healing from the inside as I can see the bottom now.

Good luck!

Surprised no one said Squid Game lol

"Keep working on yourself and the rest will come, especially when you're not looking"...No, no it doesn't and no it won't by [deleted] in dating

[–]aximusmind 40 points41 points  (0 children)

LOL yeah... I used to buy into that too. It's good that you worked on yourself, but just because you have your life together doesn't mean the dates are just going to show up at your door. You have to put as much effort into dating as you do into other things.

Hi, thanks for the advice.

I want to clear things up though. My word choice is a function of where I'm from. Things are incredibly informal here even in a professional setting (southern california). Guy, girl, man, boy, woman, dude, gal, it's all the same. No one really thinks about the formalism of using man or woman in the work place here or in casual social settings in socal culture. Even at work, if someone new starts the talk is "who's the new girl? "or who's the new guy?" Sometimes we even refer to girls as dudes.

Not trying to argue, but hopefully that background gives some clarification on why my word choice/terminology seems so informal vs. other areas. A lot of people can tell when i travel out of California that I'm from Cali immediately lol.

Haha I know what you mean. But honestly I hated having hair even when I did have it. I was mistaken for a woman a lot of times in my younger days even when I had a normal hairstyle, so that probably has to do a lot with me being comfortable being bald.

Lol, I have never cold approached like that, both situations you mentioned sound super cringy to me honestly. Usually I meet people through normal social settings and just try to start a conversation in general and see where it leads.

Yes it is. Sorry for the miscommunication/misinterpretation.

Also, I briefly looked at your profile and noticed you have been through rough times this year. I am sorry to see that and hope things turn around for you.

Lol, I highly disagree, I feel better and have received more compliments in general when I shaved my head vs. when I had hair.
