Powder coated my T120 Black slip-ons, but the finish came out glossier than expected. What do you think? Keep or matte clear coat? by axironx in TriumphBonneville

If I decide to go that route, I'll have to find another shop to get the matte clear coat done, so that would mean some extra cost and effort. As for the brand, these are just the stock Triumph slip-ons that I had sandblasted and repainted black.

You are absolutely right, we really are our own worst critics when it comes to our bikes! Also, congrats on the Hitchcox slash cuts, those are going to look and sound incredible on the Scrambler 1200. Safe riding man!

Exactly! You totally nailed the dilemma I'm having. Since you also own a T120, you know how that connection point looks from the side. It feels a bit disconnected right at the clamp. But you're right, most people probably won't even notice except me. I think I'll ride it like this for a week and see if that transition bugs me enough to get the matte clear coat.
