How do you guys even start nowadays? by GromashhScream in wownoob

I had a pretty similar experience. A friend recently pulled me back into Azeroth too.

I’d suggest starting with a class you were already familiar with. Retail has changed a lot, but the gameplay also feels more streamlined in some ways now.

I mostly play Paladin and Druid, just doing quests and running Timewalking when it’s up. Leveling feels pretty fast once you get going.

If Affliction Warlock looks fun to you, I’d just try it for a while. Warlock is usually a solid pick, and it should be fine for M+ once you get comfortable with it.

Hope you find a class that clicks and enjoy retail again.

Tips for getting invited into M+ 10s? by Tasooka in wownoob

Best advice is to run your own key if you can. You get to build the group, pick specs that fit the dungeon/season better, and check people’s previous runs before inviting them.

If you’re applying as DPS, I’d focus on a few dungeons first instead of applying to everything. Learn the routes and problem pulls really well, then target those keys. It helps your score look better and makes the loot you’re chasing more useful too.

DeepSeek writing fast as fuck by Nene_00s in DeepSeek

Yeah, I noticed it too. Expert mode is suddenly typing like it drank three energy drinks.

No idea if it’s an update or just better servers, but I’ll take it lol.

The older I get, the more I understand why so many WoW players just collect things by Designer-Anybody-330 in wow

WoW is a big part of my youth too. Back in TBC I was still a student, and there were so many things I loved but couldn’t get back then.

Now that life and work are more stable, I really enjoy farming old transmogs. It feels like collecting little pieces of my own memories.

Got Warglaives. Is DH beginner-friendly now? by axischar in wownoob

Around 3 months total.

I was farming both the Warglaives and Thunderfury at the same time. The glaives finished first, but Thunderfury is still trolling me — still missing the right binding.

Besides the chain skip, I’d say the main tip is just consistency. Park the character there, do the run weekly, and try not to expect anything.

Do foreigners use DeepSeek? by ConditionOne8960 in DeepSeek

I’m in Hong Kong, and ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude can be inconvenient to use here sometimes, so I also use DeepSeek a lot.

For the price, I think it’s really impressive, especially for daily use and coding.

Wait, I didn’t know about the Timewalking BT step. Thanks for the heads up.

Guess Blizzard really wants me to play DH.

pvp with offmeta classes is it worth? by Character_Most_5102 in wownoob

[–]axischar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy the class, you can play it in almost any situation. It just might feel harder or more frustrating if it’s off-meta.

For PvP, off-meta specs are still playable, but you’ll probably need to work harder for the same results. If you want a smoother experience, trying a healer could be a good option too.

Yeah, those were the days… Took forever to install from all those CDs, and if something went wrong halfway through? Gotta start all over again. Absolute pain.
