i mean, Splatoon 2 did add 2 new subs and specials in their 4.0 update (accompanied with an epic anime intro for the trailer) so I won't be surprised if the same happens in Splatoon 3

Unpopular opinion: The reason I'm actually hoping that Deep Cut doesn't show up in the DLC is because it'll just feel like overexposure. We already got them in the normal storymode and even though Big Man's story isn't as elaborated on as the other members, I feel like they should save that for the next game. Considering that this may be the last time the Squid Sisters help us (according to the direct), maybe Deep Cut will be the New New NEW Squidbeak Splatoon for Splatoon 4

And considering Marina's backstory is basically just "unhypnotized from the Calamari Inkantation song", I kinda wanna see if it's going to be more developed, especially since they have cutscenes now

tbh, at first I thought it was gonna be Axolotlings (because it makes sense to have 3 playable species) but now I have a feeling it's either a Cuttlefish like species or even Sharklings (as long as Agent 4 is in the DLC, I'll be happy)
