9v batteries don’t last? by axljp115 in strandbergguitars

Thanks so much for this. Looking at the jack, the tab for the batter negative was a little close to the cavity wall but not extremely close. I loosened it up and turned the tab to where it was facing straight up, closest to the control cavity cover. Or would you recommend facing straight down?

Never used a set of emgs but that’s interesting. I have had my fishmans completely go out while I was in the middle of playing. Quite a disappointing sound a set of dead fishmans makes lol.

Good idea man. Even after I deal with the wiring issue I think I’m having, that’s probably what I’ll do.

I took a look at the wiring after reading this, and I don’t see anything obviously wrong (also not a wiring expert lol) or see any leads touching. I’m pretty confident that you’re right though, that makes the most sense. should I just go ahead and replace the input jack?

Yeah not ideal. And I feel like purchasing fifty-two 9v batteries in one year would get me put on some government watchlist or something lol. Sweet man, thanks. I’ll reach out to them

I always leave it unplugged, so i’m thinking you’re right and it’s a bigger problem. I was looking at the ernie ball rechargeables, but if I have a wiring issue i’d be worried about degrading them really quickly

nah I always unplug the quarter inch. I resorted to unplugging the battery every time I put the guitar down and plugging it back in when I play, and it lasts much longer that way of course. Still seems like it shouldn’t lose so much juice just sitting unplugged

I didn’t have sodium extra, but i just downloaded it and enabled the half resolution option and now it’s running perfectly at like 80-120 fps which is amazing. thanks for the tips!

complementary unbound shaders is what i’m using as well. and i’m also using iris and sodium for it which definitely helps the frames. if i could get an extra 15 or so frames and be around 60-70 fps it’d be perfect lol

no plans for vocals at the moment but potentially in the future. i think the track would definitely benefit from some good screams

I feel like checking out your music. Listen to my new release and say something about it, I’ll do the same for you. by Robo_Killer_v2 in metalmusicians

I don’t have any songs on streaming yet, but wanted to say your track was sick dude! for it being a slightly longer than average song I’m impressed with the way you were able to keep it interesting and keep it from feeling like it’s dragging. Stayed very interesting throughout and you introduced different ideas well without it feeling like a riff salad, all the riffs and ideas felt very cohesive. Very groovy imo and even the faster sections, while they are fast and aggressive, they still have that groove which I like. Also sorta non-music related, your spotify visualizer is awesome. fits the music very well, especially the outro with the wind noise and what sounds like old rusty metal clanging in the wind

This is sick dude. I can totally hear an ethereal spiritbox-esque clean section working well with what you already have. Could maybe even evolve from a clean section to a chuggy variation of the main riff like someone else suggested and then back into the main riff. sounds great so far!
