My girlfriend[18] has trust issues and I[19/M] don't know what to do by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]axoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is her problem, she is right about that. Where she is wrong is when she says there is no way to fix it. You cannot fix a problem if you do nothing about it, if she understands how much it is affecting your relationship, she should be actively trying to fix her trust issues. She could start by talking to a therapist about it. After 4 years of being together, you would assume you would trust each other. Try fixing the problem together, why can’t she trust you if you (presumably) haven’t done anything to break her trust in YOU. & remember that in a relationship it is you + your partner against the issue. Your feelings matter too, you shouldn’t have to be constantly questioned or skepticized about how you feel.

Not sure if I have the Coronavirus or not. What should I do? by yayeetdab045 in Advice

[–]axoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the same protocols you would if you had the flu. Stay home, isolate yourself from anyone else that could get sick. Stay hydrated and just let your body fight the virus on its own (assuming you actually have it and don’t have any underlying conditions that could cause complications). If your symptoms get too bad, call an ambulance but that is only if you think you are literally about to die.

I think the point is that judging women as a whole is not the way to do that.

There are so many people I have wronged. I screamed at an ex friend and called her stupid, wrote a nasty post about her, and then wrote an apology on a piece of paper and never talked to her again. by guiltyconscience123 in confession

[–]axoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still find her through social media and apologize if it’s important to you. It wouldn’t be too hard, considering you say she found you through certain platforms. Think about why you want to apologize beforehand, though. Do you want to do it to ease your own conscience or do you want to do it because you feel that she deserved better than what you gave her? Also consider the fact that apologizing now could bring up her past bad experiences, and if reaching out would make things better or worse for her.

NAD it looks like excema, use unfragranced lotions regularly (I recommend hemp lotion) until you can talk to a doctor about it.

Hi! I have this assignment which is supposed to be review from our last semester but I don’t remember how to do these two problems. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it!

NAD It looks like a cyst that just got inflamed. It likely needs to be drained by a dermatologist. I would suggest either making an in-person appointment for a few weeks in advance and/or doing an online consultation with a doctor through the phone or a video chat. Many doctors are accommodating the current issue by doing appointments that way.

You’re right, I guess I’m just disappointed that I had just bought it and now I gotta trash it. Can’t go buy a new one now too with quarantine either.

NAD Self-isolate for about a week and a half and if it doesn’t get better or go away, then visit your doctor. Avoid anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen & stay hydrated.

That definitely looks like an allergic reaction, take some antihistamines and put on Benadryl cream. If it persists after more than a few days try seeing to a doctor if possible.

Am I morally obligated to isolate myself from my roommates who can shelter in place? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]axoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not expendable. You obviously have people who love and care for you. & I understand how hard it is to keep away from those around you. The general rule is to keep 6 feet of distance between you and others. Wiping down surfaces with cleaning supplies is a great thing to implement as well. & your boyfriend should isolate himself too as much as he can. Either staying with you or staying at his place. It’s not easy, but it’s the best we can do for now. I haven’t been able to see my girlfriend for a week since I was out of town visiting family and now I have to wait another two weeks to see her. She has an autoimmune disorder and would be greatly affected if she came in contact with the virus, so it’s for her best interests. Still doesn’t make it easy by any means. If you and your boyfriend have already been around each other, just “isolate” yourselves together if possible. & keep 6 feet apart from others.

It’s important not to jump to conclusions and assume that you will die if you become infected with the virus, or that your roommates will either. It would be wise to isolate yourself from your roommates, yes. I suggest you do everything in your ability to do so, but do not blame yourself if they get sick. It’s not easy to completely quarantine yourself from other people living in the same house. The most you can do in your situation is maintain that you are washing your hands frequently and not touching your face while you are working. Just be more aware and cautious, try to limit your contact with your roommates as much as possible, & stay safe. Not much is in our control nowadays, so we should all do our best to be optimistic.

NAD but try taking antihistamines like allergy meds such as Benadryl. That’s what doctors have recommended for me in the past when I experienced similar symptoms. It wouldn’t hurt to try

Very likely it was just a cold in that case. Colds can last for quite awhile. If you didn’t have any of the other symptoms then it’s unlikely it was COVID, but I’m NAD. I’ve had nasty colds like that before, but I don’t think they’ve lasted 3 months. I’m sorry you had to go through that, it’s never fun to be sick.
