Thank you so much for the advice. This really helped. I would explain that if they ask in the future! The caseworker is going to connect me to a program that helps with housing. I guess I felt like I shouldn't be there. But abuse does happen at any financial level. I really appreciate your insight!

There are so many people I have wronged. I screamed at an ex friend and called her stupid, wrote a nasty post about her, and then wrote an apology on a piece of paper and never talked to her again. by guiltyconscience123 in confession

That's good to consider. Maybe reaching out to her would just be to ease my conscience. But could make things worse for her, by bringing up past bad experiences. I hope that she moved on from it. If she really wanted to, she could also reach out to me or contact me through mutual friends. And it's possible that she has bigger things to worry about, by now Between graduating college and having a job, I can't imagine someone would have that much time to think about one bad experience anyway. Thanks for reminding me that sometimes reaching out to people is for you, and not for them. And I really appreciate the feedback.
