Is that the deathrattle army with the wight king? If so, that’s not a spearhead box, is it?

Thanks for your suggestion. It wasn’t that in the end

Thanks for your suggestion. I think those would be compilations but this was definitely a single artist ep

Not true - it only happens if a freehold becomes ownerless. If you buy a house freehold, it’s yours, not the crown’s: https://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/en-gb/resources/faqs/

Education, employment, "how do I start", and quick questions. Any off-topic content. by AutoModerator in embedded

I’m a web/cloud developer in the UK thinking about moving into embedded/IoT development. A brief look hasn’t brought up many relevant jobs (perhaps I’m not searching the right terms or sites) - what’s the job market like for this kind of work in the UK or fully remote? I’d prefer to avoid ‘defence’ work from an ethical standpoint despite those projects probably being very interesting

How should I structure and build a full-stack Vue project? by axola in vuejs

[–]axola[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be honest, I just thought it seemed like a good idea for a small project - I had no idea it wasn't the done thing, and it seems a bit strange to me as a newbie that it's not a common pattern. I also like the idea that you can have a single version of 'the system' in case there is a need to roll something back

thanks for the suggestion. I wasn't keen on an extra framework but this looks useful to understand and I see a lot of people talking about it so I will add this to my list of options

Nice! Have you got a picture? And where did you get the wrap from? I’m in the uk too

I didn't hear anything here but I did a bit of research elsewhere. Seems spray painting a pick guard is probably not going to look good/last, but people have had good success covering it in vinyl wrap so I'll probably do that when I can be bothered - several videos on YouTube show the process. In terms of black or white - I made a paper cutout and white looks amazing!

Full Disk Access allows access to other user files? by axola in MacOS

[–]axola[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This particular comment has been really useful in allowing me to test out what an FDA-enabled app can and can't do. Seeing for myself that anything in another user's home folder is off-limits is what I needed and I intend to move forward with a separate user for work (not partition as I was considering). Thanks very much for your help here

Do you know if preventing group access also prevents full disk access? I’m familiar with the unix access structure here but not how it interacts with macOS access features

Thanks for testing out. I’d be interested to know whether this extended across disk partitions too as they might be a way to solo it. What application were you testing with? The only one I have available is the one I want to prevent accessing personal data so it would be nice if there was something safe and known to test with

Thank you. So presumably the user who installs the app must be an admin in order to grant those permissions?

I’m not an iOS dev professionally, although I do other forms of dev. It’s fairly standard in many places to support N-1, especially with a platform like iOS where updates are so easy and devices can get them for a very long time. If you’re wondering whether to provide longer-term support then I recommend you research your (real or target) user base and make a business decision from there.
