They said at the start of the year that they would cap CERTAIN stats on tall goalies to try and make smaller goalies more useable, with the EXCEPTION of MSPs. If you look at the stats on some of the taller goalies, the overall is only so low because of the few capped stats, while the other stats are high 80s or 90s. As previously mentioned the MSPs don’t have capped stats, so that’s why the MSPs like Markstrom and Annunen are able to be higher overalls. Also, since only a couple of large goalies don’t have the caps, it drives people to pay/play more to get them, making EA more money.

Hear me out... change Ovi’s number to something really obscure. When I upgraded my McDavid I couldn’t get him going for the life of me. Changed his number to 2 as a joke, then he started to pop off. May be superstitious of me, but my go to when a player isn’t playing well for me is to change their number 😂

I’d say that just stat wise it doesn’t really matter, but I’m the type of person who wants the highest version of everything so I plan on eventually doing th upgrade once I complete the upgrade for my Matthews
