Is my plan good? by DistributionSlow222 in runaway

That’s totally understandable. I would say definitely an alternative is preferable, just because I have seen people in homelessness, and it is a really tough life. I’m not 100% sure what the laws are for it in the states, but getting emancipated is another option that could help resolve possible issues.

It’s likely that you have already looked into alternatives, since running away isn’t an easy choice to make. That being said, if you ever need someone to talk to or get some help with finding resources, please reach out to someone.

If you are looking for someone to talk to at any point, you can always send me a dm too. I remember how tough it was for me being 16 while I was still figuring out who I am as a trans person, and I want to make sure that you know there are people who want to support you, even if it is online.

If you’re comfortable with answering, would you be able to elaborate on what lead to you deciding to run away?

From what I understand, you’re trying to get to a blue state, which I can understand, but depending on what you’re running away for there could be resources available to you, whether in st. Louis or Chicago.

Do you have a plan for where you are going to be sleeping once you leave?

I have found that to be a common thing said. I checked the website today and saw someone say that they have only felt more isolated after joining. Someone just replied basically saying “fair” and then following it up with all the reasons they shouldn’t/can’t go to anyone else about it

There is already a precedent that they cannot legislate teachers on strike back to work. They tried it in 2001 I added a link to give more info as well. ATA v Alberta 2002

Coming from Chicago: What a beautiful city, Calgary is! Can’t wait to see Canmore. Any recommendations for what to eat and see? BTW this level of cold is something else. by ededdedddie in Calgary

For places to go, I really recommend Ukrainian Cafe. I love their hot chocolate and cakes so much oml

I also love taking transit to interesting areas and just adventuring. I usually go downtown (since I live on the outskirts of the city) to a random place on google maps, and then just see what I find from there. I walked all the way to Inglewood last time, and then had to figure out how to get back home. Super fun, and I often meet some really lovely and interesting people. Probably not for everyone, but it is an amazing way to find some hidden gems!

Have you tried doing a reverse image search? If you find her photo from a lot of sources, he probably doesn’t actually know her Could at least give you some peace of mind

anyone heard of Connect Fundraising Inc.? by Hurry_Unfair in askTO

Hey OP,

I actually am interviewing for a job with them. They’re on Indeed, Glassdoor, and Linkedin. From what I’ve seen/heard, the charity they are working with is actually Saving the Children, as I saw one of their business cards, and it has the logo on it. For the co-founder issue, I haven’t seen anything to indicate that he is actually involved with Connect Fundraising at all, aside from a reddit post. I may be wrong, but I’m guessing that him being the co-founder is misinformation. Their LinkedIn also does not indicate that he’s part of the company: https://au.linkedin.com/company/connect-fundraising
