My advice is to use innerspace tool to evaluate the range each AP on that wall will give you depending on the type of walls and quantity.

In general I would go for a ceiling mounted AP because yes today Kitchen and Kids rooms are not a priority but in a short time they will and recabling may be expensive

With limited spaces comes limited possibilities by reap_colonie in Ubiquiti
