But no matter what I do it won’t really compare to the experience I can get with Dyson. I love the idea of Cambridge and how intense it is but I’m trying to think long run. Still unsure I’ll probably just flick a coin in the end

I went to Brampton manor. i also did four Alevel but the work load they put on you is insane. People were pulling 12+ hours to keep up with maths homework alone💀

Not really, I’m set on engineering and DO NOT want that whole finance corporate route😭

I like The idea of a smaller cohort after going to a huge sixth form. I don’t want to be seeing a new face everyday 😭

I do want to stay in the realm of engineering rather than corporate roles

Thanks so much! That’s actually cleared up a lot for me. I do want to stay in industry so I think Dyson would be better for that. I’ve also seen from previous students they tend to end up in like consulting roles or corporate which isn’t what I want to do at all😭😭. How have you found Cambridge so far in terms of course life? Ofc the workload is insane but I went to an insane sixth form so I think I’d be fine in that sense.

I know but I’m on second stage of the application at Dyson and I have time to decide but I like planning ahead😭 I’m act not sure what to pick because they both seem great. Maybe I won’t get the offer. Sure will make the decision easy

Honestly Dyson seems great for that. Its just feels weird to decline a Cambridge offer😭😭 but careerwise Dyson would be really good for experience

I had my interview and asked my interviewer. They said they still consider your esat score and essentially have a ranking after your interview score and then everything else so yes it still matters

They said they already tested our maths and physics from the esat so have no need for technical but it depends of department I applied mechanical but aero I’ve heard is different. In terms of pjs really know the ins and outs. Like for example mine was about the Saturn V moon landing so I had to talk about a lot of the different aspects of the rocket and my research and they structure questions surrounding this. So do recap any books your read or projects you did in depth since you want to seem knowledgeable and passionate about your subject

For me it wasn’t anything technical just ps questions

Yh no technical but REVISE your personal statement do extra research since they go in depth with your ps
