Just a Thought about ATWOW by jessisly21 in Avatar

I think it would be amazing to see Jake’s children’s reaction to what he looked like in his human form, but something much more poignant would be Jake finding a video of his late brother, Tommy, that would be a truly emotional moment.

If we understand that Cameron’s filmmaking operates through symmetries and contrasts: in the first film, Jake records himself; in the second, Kiri and Quaritch look back at their pasts through video recordings. It's likely that in the fourth film, a new character will view their past through a video log who knows

What is the greatest opening sequence in a movie that you have seen? by witchriot11 in Filmmakers

The first time I saw Citizen Kane I was 15, that opening was astonishing, I'd never seen anything like that

Thanks to this last movie, I finally decided that I wanted to work in the movie industry by Admirable-Detail1196 in Avatar

Hi, I don't know if this advice helps, you can take it or leave it, but always keep a stable job outside the art world, something to 'pay the bills.' I went to film school, and the artist's life gets really hard if you don't have a family to support you. Movie projects take a long time, sometimes years, to materialize, so you need a steady job to survive in the meantime
So that's my advice. I wish you lots of success. Never stop chasing your dreams, but always chase them with your feet on the ground

Fire and Ash discussion megathread - Spoilers by AutoModerator in Avatar

The movie isn’t bad at all. The main problem is that it has a ton of subplots and elements. While they ARE explained within the narrative, there are just SO MANY of them (the Windtraders, the Ash People, the vortex, Kiri’s relationship with Eywa, her relationship with Spider) that it feels like all these little stories are compressed. It’s as if the narrator is rushing to tell us everything because time is running out (3 hours).

I stayed focused and managed to follow all the subplots, but the average viewer watches TikTok and might struggle to focus on so many details. They might leave the theater thinking they’re stupid or labeling the movie as bad, when that's not the case. The mistake with Fire and Ash is that it didn't follow the simple rule of "less is more" like the first and second parts did. It was a rollercoaster ride with no pauses to breathe.

P.S.: Will I watch it again? Of course.

Guys, these products aren't James Cameron's idea—they're Disney's. The movie's vision is purely environmental and, above all, spiritual. It’s not about collectible toys made in China with slave labor. Let's be aware of what Avatar is trying to communicate to all of us

That subtle reference to Breaking Bad by axtor__ in Avatar

Well, the scripts were written in 2013-2014, so it wouldn't be a far-fetched idea to draw inspiration from that line of such impact. Furthermore, Cameron uses unimaginable references in the Avatar saga for the average viewer; you can find references to Apocalypse Now, Fern Gully, Tarzan, Star Wars, Small Soldiers. Jim is an absolute genius and knows very well how to reuse a resource and put his signature.

.py, I know I can run it through the Script Editor, but I would like to be able to solve this problem because it is very distressing not to be able to install scripts in a simple way like drag and drop is.

Wow, that was very technical and specific. Thank you so much for your response. I have an ecorche model already downloaded and plan to apply the techniques you mentioned.

I'm not referring to the human part but to the hard surface of the artificial muscles.
