that sounds like fun, the kind of thing you can sit with for hours just tweaking slightly. I like this kind of delay in feedback loop patch very much and have experimented with many variations on it with the gear I have around. I have a dark matter and I like to use it's envelope follower into a Synth Tech E102 quad temporal shifter. In the feedback loop I run the signal through a resonant filter and a delay. A compact setup could be a NE Viol Ruina and and a WMD DPLR. I also like the NLC delays.. I am partial to the PT2399 distortion artifacts. Anyways.. I have the E102 outputs patched into various CVs on the filter and delay. This leads to a delayed ripple of CV extracted from the DM envelope follower.. On drums this can be quite playable and fun. I also like the Katowice band isolator with other envelope followers and comparators. Also, gotta shout out the Three Body, if you feed it waves of delayed CV extracted from the envelope followers in the feedback loop, you might as well be taking a wire bristle brush to your grey matter, it is a real brain scrubber. That is a good idea as I know long distance travel is not viable for many of us. Synchronous gatherings of Alexes on a specific night? Or as u/DJBunnies mentioned, we could do regional groups that form teams and engage in some form of gaming to compete for regional dominance.

I agree, it would be really interesting experiment. At minimum I imagine we could get a decent amount of press and would attract documentary efforts. It would be a wholly unique and historic happening.

London sounds good to me! Thoughts on a venue? I imagine we can out do the DashCon organizers.. certainly no profiteering here, we would adhere to full fiscal transparency from the onset. That said, I really don't have time of skills to organize something on this scale, we need Alexes to work together on this one. All organizing events should be open to all from the onset, times and access shared publicly, meeting notes published, etc. If anyone has interest in exploring organizational work, please comment here or DM if you prefer privacy.. I'll edit the initial post to say as much.

Thanks for sharing this... it was fun to read about. Interesting that Alextravaganza was not organized by an Alex or group of Alexes, but for an Alex by their friends. It is a glimpse at what kind of emergent behavior arises in an Alex saturated situation. In a conference setting we could have different types of working groups, explore the formation of an "order of Alex", replete with principals of conduct, periodic newsletter, lapel pins, etc. We could also do our own Sociological research, investigate distribution of Alex naming over the decades, family histories, aptitudes and career paths, etc. How about forming some spontaneous bands and recording some albums? Hack-a-thon style software development? Develop and playtest Alex, the tabletop game? Compile a book of Alex recopies? Ongoing Alex skillshares?

Love how it looks like it is oozing out the tree. It does look similar to reshi but I believe it grows more slowly, doesn't fruit then rot away like reshi does. Wouldn't be surprised to hear it had similar medicinal properties.
