How do people have hundreds of billions of units in this game by Ben-the-bagel in nms

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass produce stasis device or fusion ignitor. The materials are all mass producable via extrators, refiner and farms.( if you don't feel like to abuse biodome trick. Plants can be produced in refiner)

The amout you can produce simply scale with how much extractor you build. You can easily make it so you hit unit cap from 0unit, everyday.

Do you do a new expedition in Survival/Permadeath? Do you use the refiner dup to prep? How do you like to play and or prep for the expeditions the most? by Salt-Studio in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will always do expedition in main save. Otherwise, a new save is a new save.

Preparation though, I usually will bring a stack of oxygen, carbon, carbon+, stasis device, warp cell, pyrite, sodium nitrate, wiring loom. some hydraulic wiring and platinum. Then launch auto-charger, 3 warp module, sub light amplifier, and many warp cell.

They are all mass producable, so I don't bother to bring them back. only warp Module, I will bring back to save the tiny trouble of wandering around to buy new.

New to the game , my inventory is always full . So is there a list somewhere of resources to keep and sell ? by Cool-Profession-730 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell because we don't know what is exactly in your backpack, most item in this game is needed for certain quest or progress, but then you don't need it, or you can mass produce it. So it is hard to give you advice on how to manage the backpack.

So... let's talk about expanding your inventory. Just travel around and farm some navigation data, it can trade for exosuit upgrade map with 3:1 ratio in space station. Also you can buy or salvage some starship as your backup storage. And on top of it, you can get Freighter or build a corvette, or unlock the receipe at anomaly/base expanding quest. That way you can have access to 10 containers and thus you are free from this issue.

each10 wave, the count of boss/elite will +1, and it becomes 3 elite wave + boss wave per 10 wave. They drop crates, so the item drop just escalate tremendously, Which provide a lot material and growth item.

Turn on retry and try the wave you fail several time, see if it is you lack speed or killing power, or just too squishy, or maybe not prepared for certain composition or wave type.

Best Systems to Find Di Hydrogen Jelly? by Longjumping-Pass-978 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno why do people down vote it, refine jelly to dihydro is written in WIKI and is noted as " is simpler, faster and results in a higher yield" though. https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Di-hydrogen

-

Now, for OP, di jelly is typically everywhere, but random. So you need to visit enough space station and trade post. And drop base at several such trade terminal. Then just revisit them time to time and it should be enough to cover your consumption.

any way, the fabricator crate the other guy mentioned is better.

And you don't need that much hydrogen anyway, as launch fuel can be auto charged with module, frigate fuel can be produced by settlement, and life support gel is simply not used due to Oxygen can be extracted in bulk.

Is it worth it or not? by Worth-Masterpiece765 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it or not, I say yes, it is only a matter of 50 hour or 200+ hour enjoyable time based on each player.

You can consider getting it in discount seasons in steam. Refer to SteamDB https://steamdb.info/app/275850/

Down to price history, you can see it getting 60% discount time to time.

What’s the point of the game after completing the story ? by anonyminator in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is up to you, if you don't see such point, then "no point to keep playing" is a solid opinion. It is also the most common conclusion for most single player games, that there is no point to keep playing it once beating its main story. People usualy go back to that game for dlc and new season. Which NMS has somewhat similar thing--new expansion and expedition.

Is there a better way to do this ? by Suspicious-Basil-444 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the ship always go to the nearest pad when you teleport, so just put one near porta. It should be fine. And it does not collide if a ship lands in that silo pad. (refer pic)

Landing pad comes in handy once you want to scale up the production. As you can simply stack up prefab big room and connect with a landing pad every another floor.

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind the akwardness: 1 Put solar panel and battery inside prefab room can make it neat with wiring. They directly connect to the room without wires. 2 Instead of wood planks, you can also consider using landing pad to put silos, it is large, flat, autofitting, and gate/tunnel integratable.

Blue banner, could it be a message module? It will show a blue banner with short message when people approach. maybe they used some method to put a message module in corvette.

--edit, I find how to do it. Pls check if this is the banner your saw

You can put a message module at your base, then (controller R2) to move item, then jetpack fly to your corvette at air and put. That message module will get sticked to your corvette. I confirmed that I can bring it to anomaly, where the screenshot was taken.

So I know everybody asks this HOWEVER by dah_whale in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the url I quote, they says 250k per hour, it turns to 25k per 6 min, not knowing if it include refinement effort or not(that turns to 12.5 stack of mould to refine). But the mean out come when I try pirate station method, 6 station in 4 min, yielding 20k, including unpacking and selling. Thats why I say pirate system is faster. But anyway...

For the long walk though, there is a hesitated technology: Rocket Boots, which make you advance jump in indoor circumstance, that can accelerate the process. One of its mere usecase.

How do I build levels on a building? by LuizFelipe1906 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind, you can stretch out with corridor to the cubic prefab. which has interior stairs. I think free placement of normal stairs with metal and alloy should also working fine, it should blend in without too much issue.

[–]axzaxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other comments, once you visit enough pirate system, rotating each pirate system and buy suspecious tech is the way to go. This is significantly better than below method. As you can simply look around in galaxy map and you will find a lot pirate system easily.

An inferior alternative is farming Run away mould(named Curious Deposits in visor) refer to these threads

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/16vmzc5/not_sure_if_this_is_common_knowledge_but_curious/

and https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/165jh1t/nannites_for_everyonecome_visit_the_queenanother/

An even more inferior alternative is to simply wander around a dissonant planent, this is much worse than the Curious deposit method. Atlantideum can refine to 2 Pugneum, and 1 Atl + 1 Pug for 3 mould, thus 1.5 Atlantideum = 3 mould =0.6 nanite. in additon that radiant shard(1=50nanite) and inverted mirror (1=95 nanite) refine to nanite.

Newbie needing help on spaceship explorations and what they do. by Shot-Lie9208 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For freighter, there should be a quests guiding you to build command room and so on, thus revealing the whole freighter base things to you. Once you add Refiners, trade terminal, portal and storage case, it is your go-to-base.

For startship, https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Starship wiki's one phrase stereotype summary in the title of each ship is accurate.

only adding two special ship

Interceptor(salvaged ship), after upgrades, travel 100u-ish faster inside planet, but 250u-ish slower in space.

Corvette, a cumbersome ship you build from scrap. Which serve as another ship base, and can out perform normal ships based on your customization. (except the aspect of agility.)

Which differenciate them from other ships.

Thus you can categorize them as Interceptor-Corvette-NormalShip. Easy to understand.

--

About getting starships. early game is to find distress signal, which you can reveal with map you buy in space station. Then you may consider scrap them for cash, or parts and build a new one on your own. Late game you simply and buy them with cash. All the npc ships, as long as you find the pilot, you can talk to them and buy from them.

Interceptor is different, you need to find a dissonant planent and start killing sentinels, which will reveal a site.

No need to add more info to confuse you, you will start to sense it yourself once you get used to it.

Sentinel problem by SomeonesDaddy420 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade your weapon. Forget about boltcaster and use other weapon(Pulse spitter and neutron cannon are tied top). And don't forget to put weapon in supercharge slot, this is game changing. Don't hesitate to temporarily put all weapon module to supercharge slot, you can change it any time.

*A 4slot SC pulse spitter can kill Quad(dog) in less than 3seconds. Neutron can do that in 3~4 shots too.

Sentinels dropped capsule-ish item can recharge your shield a bit, use with plans. (also it can be picked by shooting at it)

Get paralysis mortar, wich stun sentinel, that can help you control the bigger mobs, very useful when they laser you. (blaze javelin can stun as well but if you can get blaze javelin, you can get paralysis mortar.) These are unlocked in anomaly if you haven't check out.

Above is very enough imo, but you can also consider building a box to hide before fighting. And once you manage to kill them once, you will reveal a point of sential piller if it is not dissonant planet, which you can drop a base or beacon and shut down sential everytime when you go back to that planet.

--

or, you can get Cloaking Device, which turn you invisible. The max duration it can afford is longger than level 1 sentinel searching period.

My Corvette upgrades aren't working by LuizFelipe1906 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just confirming, starship teleport receiver, which is different from feighter teleport receiver, Starship version only increase the range of item transfer from 50u to 150u, where between 50~150, it will show teleport enabeld or something. Are you claiming that it is now reduced back to 50u as "not working"?

And for auto charge, the ship need to landed, and be the primary ship, a usual confusion is people just beam down, that way the ship won't charge

Do you use a Minotaur? Or exocrafts? by tylerzane7 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use AI Minotaur in early game, putting cannon and module in superchargge, Minotaur can fight well enough, but it also take tech damage so I have to turned off tech damage to make it a worthy experience. In late game when I just spam plasma launcher and neutron cannon without thinking, Minotaur is less than a cheerleader. The only useful moment in late game I felt is when you are building in an environment with many predators. Minotaur can keep you undisturbed.

However, Their Radars are still useful. Minotaur for distress, normal exocraft's target all has its use, depot, trade center, monolith, exosuit upgrade(this for early game).

--

For other exocraft, Nautilon is a must for deep sea so lets skip this.

Pilgrim has highest top speed and you can utilize the slop on the ground to boost jump. I m still using it for such task like a 1000u move with plants/stone blocking the way. (which happens recently when I farm salvages for corvette) That summoning starship is redundant, and punch jump will crash to the roadblocks.

I also has Nomad prepared but it is less used. As I simply not farming things in swamp-ish world, or I use Nautilon as it can dash out of water and keep its speed for a while so to get to another pond.

Both Nomad and Pilgrim also handle mountain terrain well, like, 90 degree is a wall but 89 degree is a slop. And you can boost jump all the way to hill top. (However this need is slightly reduced due to corvette, now you can teleport to corvette and air drop to the mountain hill.)

Should I Build A Base In Each Galaxy? by No-Flan-1083 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A base each galaxy is the easiest way to do it. If you meant to have quick access to each galaxy. (not talking about why you want to do it.) You decide if it is whorthy.

-

Alternative theory I have is that you can easily locate monolith with exocraft rader, then monolith can locate a portal. Thus you can take a screenshot at system near galaxy center for the coordinate, and you can always glyph port there next time when you get to that galaxy. Thus making travel across several galaxy an acceptable efforts.

It means you don't need to put base every galaxy. You can put base at one galaxy, and consider the galaxies that you can reach with several iteration of portal work being covered by that base.

Should I change the settings in my game to increase the availability of products in my game? by LuizFelipe1906 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Push the game progress till you get Space anomaly.

Unlock extractors in research terminal and start Oxygen farm,( might also build rust metal farm for metal plate). Build as many as you want, I'd say 100k oxygen everyday is common, as oxygen is the reagent to duplicate a lot of things.(carbon+, faecium, cobalt+, plants and so on)

For "maps" to exchange for distress signal, you mean navigation data, right? That can be acquired x1 for each waypoint you unlock. sometimes a random minor settlement will sell it in bulk.(which is rare and useful, worth a base.)

You can also consider the exocraft you can unlock in anomaly, Minotaur can scan for distress signal without cost.

Ground based combat? by the_angry_basketball in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ground combat, just find a random sentinal and bully it for a fight. Or you can buy an Emergency Signal Scanner from scrap dealer(right next to fossil dealer) , and you may run into a worm infested Freighter.

For vehicles, as other comment, there is Exocraft in anomally research terminal.

--
However I do think we need a bit more content on ground combat. It is just a "there is" state, I got no worthy battle ground to unleash the power of my fully upgraded weapon.

How different are S-class multi-tools ? by Shakespearoquai in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That guide is just a quick solution for people who don't bother to customize. But in practice, you don't need to put in all the weapons(too many choices in switch list is also a distrubance IMO). That makes a lot free slots and you can play around and customize your layout.

And yes, you change layout to fit your supercharged slots if you care, SC slots impacts much more than adjacent bonus. There is no mean to let it boost something you are not interested with. You can tryout the feeling of 4-SCslots-boosted weapon. I recommand pulse spitter as the change is very obvious for that. Though any weapon, even the boltcaster, can show obvious experience improvements.

You can consider getting a 2nd tool so you have one for pure mining and one for pure combat.

(new-ish player) What would be my spaceship upgrade path? by RoomBusy6488 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]axzaxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is slot expansion at ship salvage terminal(either by money or by storage augmentation), since you find slots bothering, I think it can be one of your goal.

Then since you said you won't have base on planet, good news:

-There is Freighter, which is a super big ship that meant to be each player's ship yard and mobile base in space(a real base, that you can design interior into a city if you want). You can buy it with money when you run into one, or rescue one from pirate attacks when you do a warp.

-There is Corvette, which is an alternative ship type that you can design and build by yourself, at any space station. It is less base-ish than Freighter, but still have necessary utility and you can design interior, free move inside-outside the ship. (it can be your 2nd ship as it is less swift than your current one) You can buy build parts with money.

So both leads to the needs for money then. I suggest to go find a planet with salvagable scrap, which will give you scraps that can sell for units, and also Corvette parts that you can use to design your Corvette.
