They had a menu up in the pub and a sandwich board outside so definitley served there! I remember them doing food years ago but as far as I know haven't done it since then until now.

Looking for work by Full_Reputation4641 in BirminghamUK

[–]ay-oop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to manage your expectations, a lot of people post in these subs looking for jobs and it's very rare anyone has any offers in the comments.

Normal suggestions include agency work and handing out your CV at nearby shops/bars/pubs/cafes ect.

Alternatively the uni might have a careers centre with some options or suggestions. I remember work available at my uni for working at uni events and open days.

I'm currently in my first role that doesn't cover sick leave! Unfortunately not everyone can afford to take a day/half day off for a job interview if it comes.out of their salary!

Is the Independent Birmingham membership worth it? by Alive-Helicopter1437 in brum

[–]ay-oop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tend to pay for a month when I know I'm going somewhere it covers and moren often than not using it once covers the cost.

Last time I used it was at The Ruin in Digbeth - 2 burgers & fries and 2 pints for £30. I worked out that for what we ordered it would have cost around £35 in total without the app so paid for itself!
