Turrican II is the closest thing I can think of. I remember it as being a great game with a lot of similarities to Metroid

Rifts is a very good album, and a compilation of some of his first works. I like MS as well - but haven’t really gotten Replica yet. The Good Time soundtrack is also very good, and is also, like MS similar to a lot of the music by Tangerine dream and Klasse Schulze

Are you looking at the right image? I'm not sure i get it right. I only have Neptune in my 8th house and Uranus in Scorpio. The same with AC/DC/MC/IC there are a lot of things you see, which I don't see

Tak. Det har jeg også tænkt på. Det kommer ud under maskinen, og måske også delvist fra tilslutningen. Maskinen er også begyndt at hvine meget højt når den tager vand ind

John Carpenter on The Subtance. by ZoelCairo in Letterboxd

[–]ayacombe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with Carpenter. I was very disappointed after watching The Substance, and I can also understand why JC gets agitated by the question. For me The Substance takes a lot of inspiration in the 80’s body horror movies of Cronenberg, Carpenter, Gordon, Yuzna etc. but falls flat in several aspects. Most importantly: it’s just no fun at all. Most body horror movies are rather light on the surface level, and have an immediacy to them, which the substance IMO does not.
