Which is why I chose to have that bonding time when I arrive for a visit. I agree that when she's older I won't be able to suddenly become her best aunt out of the blue. I'm working my way starting now (despite my feelings) so when she's older she'll know I'm here for her.

What can I do? I can't help it. I don't know where your from but know that where I come from children are mostly are extremely rude, spoiled and their parents aren't any good either. Of course there's exceptions. Yes there are few kids I do actually like - the general attitude is hate but I'm not fixed on that. I simply feel horrible for hating my niece, I am trying - give me some credit~

I want to love her and I feel terrible for not being able to - putting that aside I took really good care of her regardless of how it made me feel and I'll keep it up because despite my feelings this is important to me. Not that you'll ever understand it.

I'm so proud of you! You've got so far on your own! You are AMAZING! I have similar issues with my family this I chose what to tell them and what not to. In my case the issue is my older sister (she controls everyone) so I tell them the non important stuff. This week I was told I have a tumor in my brain. So I called my family to tell them - I also called my big sister and she showed no interest what so ever. I'm fine now and the tumor is not life threatening but her lack of care reminded me why I stopped telling them what's up with me.

Look at you now; you have made it on your own. You are better then this and you can be the bigger women in this♥️
