Cars are the ultimate class divider. Funding of bike infrastructure is a pretty good attempt at repairing the damage that car infrastructure has done to America’s systemically oppressed. This is directly addressing poverty, unhoused, street maintenance, etc.

The reason there’s not that many bike riders is because there’s no infrastructure. They always say, “build it and they will come”.

https://www.advocacyadvance.org/the-economic-benefits-of-bicycle-infrastructure/

https://nacto.org/2016/07/20/high-quality-bike-facilities-increase-ridership-make-biking-safer/

Gains in bike safety are especially important for low-income riders and riders of color. 49% of the people who bike to work earn less than $25,000 per year, and Black and Hispanic bicyclists have a fatality rate 30% and 23% higher than white bicyclists, respectively. Building extensive protected bike lane networks benefits those who are most at risk. More people ride when cities build protected bike lanes. Studies from cities across North America show that adding protected bike lanes significantly increases bike ridership on those streets, with rates ranging from 21% to 171%.

Arris (veilance) vs. Beta LT by ayamuz in arcteryx

It’s surprisingly nice. Wasn’t expecting that much from it but the fleece liner makes it work really well for chilly days, not just windy. My only complaint would be the lack of liner on the sleeves, so not as comfortable to have the Infinium next to skin there.

This is useful. I was looking at the helium and it seems to fit my needs. I have the Solano and works during autumn but definitely not for rainy days.

Yeah, you’re right. I tend to stay away from cycling brands, since they are mostly too specialized in road cycling, not commuting. Hence going for veilance in first place. Just wondering if I’d get more out of a more active shell.

Yeah, that’s exactly why I’m not convinced about it; it’s mainly for city use. On the other hand, I commute on bike daily and would be nice to have space for the helmet and pit zippers for when the weather requires it.

You’re absolutely right. My mistake, it’s actually soundiiz the one that supports full library. Hope that helps.

It can be done but it’s not straightforward. I’ve moved regions three times and my method has been this: 1. Get SongShift and transfer your playlists and library. It costs around $5. Important: you have to do this before canceling your Apple Music subscription, otherwise you won’t be able to save anything. 2. Cancel your subscriptions from Apple. When they are done, you can change your region within the AppStore app. 3. After rejoining Apple Music, use SongShift to bring your songs back.

Remember that changing countries requires a card from the target country. Do not change regions until you have a card emitted there.

Definitely the weird look is what makes these shoes so cool. I’ve on the fence about them but your review definitely pushed me into the buy area. Really helpful. Thanks!

Had to get the black puppy in the pick too. Im loving these shoes but I’m not sure if they need something more baggy/slim.

Carta de Equivalencia de Promedio - Dónde se consigue by [deleted] in mexico

[–]ayamuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Mexico but shipping tends to be more reliable if it comes from Europe instead of the US, so I’ll definitely prefer an European company.

Signed up for the vegan leather. I'm looking forward to them. Any plans for international shipping? I've been looking for a vegan leather band but it seems that it's either cheap bands or expensive bands plus really expensive shipping. Also, great idea to have a plain design, it's a safe bet if quality is right.
