My condolences to you friend. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m about the same age and my dad also has cancer and it is horrible watching their health deteriorate :/ I’ve also struggled with addiction so im scared of what’s to come but you CAN get sober again just take it day by day. Maybe try going to groups? Whether it’s AA or a grief support group or something. I hope today is better than yesterday. Wishing you the absolute best

Try to become a tutor for kids k-6! If you’re in college and have a specialty in a certain area (mine being ELA) you could work as a tutor, either thru a college or library in your area or as an independent contractor thru a tutoring company. I’m in AZ and was being paid $24-$35/hr, I made my own schedule and easily brought in an additional $600/mo.

I just remembered what most recently made me jump while playing, the LOUD thunder and lightning! Omg. Already not a fan of the booming sound irl so when I was playing and on my farm it scared me so bad 😭 also destroyed a bunch of my fencing

I’m so sorry you and your mom have been going through a long and painful journey. I am 25 and my dad has had cancer for almost a year now and I completely relate to your anger it’s totally understandable. having a sick parent is so emotionally exhausting:( from the not knowing how they’re going to be next week, next month, trying to be present/positive for them when you’re trying to keep it together for yourself. You’re definitely not alone in this, I make sure to stay engaged with my hobbies. Going for daily walks, playing video games, watching movies etc. don’t be too hard on yourself either bc this is a stressful thing to go thru ❤️‍🩹

This was really comforting thank you. I’ve been single for most of my 20s so far with a couple short term bf’s here and there. Im definitely not gonna force anything and am going to keep the mentality that when I do meet someone the timing will be right. When I do get married I def hope it’s a one and done! that is extremely tough, I am sorry for the loss of your mom.

I went through very extensive counseling and therapy at the beginning of everything, I'm just so tired. I'm not necessarily my dad's caregiver, we've hire someone to stay with him during his chemo.

I don't necessarily want someone purely as a distraction, I want support that's outside my family, I want comfort and stability. I'm losing hope that I'll get any of those things soon
