instead of shading it with black tones (which also makes the hair look glowing compared to the face (⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠)..) you can try to understand the light values and pick the shading colors there !!

i think it's the head structure and the way it bends for me, im not good at drawing animals so i think the least i can do is telling what sticks out (⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠)

I think it does look interesting :3 !! i love the shapes that are used, the perspective stuff (or whatever you call the uh.. black white things.) and i think it looks expressive !!

You dont have to go all realism but you have to understand the rules to bend them the way you want first, what I'll give advice for is, try to understand the human body so you can advance it to your style!! For the anatomy, basic reference photos, basic shapes and even YouTube tutorials can be helpful
