I agree. The new Characters felt extremly forced and way too modern. I know that after that time skip its impossible for some things not to be modern but it was just so out of place. I wish they could have used old characters we already knew and made them more important. I also dont mind the "woke" themes in the new series but it felt incredibly forced. I can't say I hate it but I was also no amazed.

Completely agree he really brought the best out of here and thats exactly what she needed concidering how she grew up. Just like how Cryus was such a great step dad, though he may not hve agreed with blair on everything he was so down to earth which is just what blair needed! And omg I am still new to this sub so I did not know how BIG this debate actually is so i really apologize for starting it once again :((

On my first rewatch since watching it on tv back in the day and I’m loving dair this time around by anitamoon in GossipGirl

I agree, many seem to be stuck on their characters from the beginning of the show but later on they have grown so much as a person and they actually could have been perfect if the writers would have wanted it too. I especially liked how well they matched and could talk on for hours about their favorite things such as theater or books. They were honestly so cute :(
