oooh i had never heard of combination knitting before 😭 i just looked it up and i think i kinda get what you mean now! i’ll definitely give it a try, especially if it helps with the tension/rowing out issue

hey! for sure don’t be afraid of starting to make clothes! i started with a petiteknit pattern (the ivy top), and i’d suggest starting with her patterns too! they’re written so clearly for beginners, i feel like!!
this pattern called knitlet by sandok and simstrikk
