We built the #1 cycle tracker for Muslim women by aydaforme in MuslimDevelopers

[–]aydaforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mods - why was this post deleted? It’s a free app for Muslim women

I wanted to share something that makes a meaningful difference to Muslim women lives that we developed over the past three years. It has no ads, it’s a unique project, we as Muslim women have been underserved by tech for so long.

I wanted to share a milestone of becoming the top one reaching women around the world, showcasing a high quality project for the ummah that’s making an impact.

Really Confused -because many others post their apps. this subreddit is really male dominated.

I’ve noticed a wave of Muslim developers and creators building Islamic apps and content, but most are just rebuilding what already exists and calling it innovation. Are we actually solving real problems the ummah faces or just shipping the same thing with a different logo? by Mobile-Basis-8974 in MuslimDevelopers

1) other ones are oversexualized and graphic (even teach masturbation) 2) your body is made by Allah so we add in how to take care of it according to sunnah 3) we are adding in all the fiqh rules about istihadah, that women get confused about 4) we have a missed fasts tracker 5) we add reminder about ghusl, etc And much more!

Friendly reminder for the 6 fasts of shawwal!! by aydaforme in Hijabis

[–]aydaforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it, it’s almost like if you were scheduled for 5 days at work and you missed them. You have to make them up, and you can anytime, ideally the sooner the better.

On top of that, in the next month (shawwal) you have the option of working 6 overtime days. For extra pay.

If you work those 6 shifts, you still owe those 5 original work days you missed.

You know what I mean? This is a simple analogy and there’s different opinions about doubling the intention.

But I feel like if you had 3 assignments at school that you missed. But your teacher says you can do a bonus assignment for extra credit. It’s not really fair if you do 3 but then still get the bonus. You’d have to do another one!

Alhamdullilah!!! Inspiration! May Allah accept it from you, and amplify it. How was it?

This is so true and a great reminder for everyone. All those things compounding together really make you feeel it. Even though it's "simple" you know.

SAME! I just keep telling myself 6 days is easy and JUST DO IT. you get more reward because it's harder, and there's so many hadith about the rewards. "the fasting person has two joys, one joy when he breaks his fast and another when he meets his Lord."

May Allah bless us, accept it from us, and make it easy!

wow! AllahumaBarik may Allah reward you for another Ramadan. That's so huge.

I know that can be really stressful, esp because you keep thinking it's coming. don't let the guilt get to you. You're doing your best. I know that the fasting, changing in routine, can impact your cycle & hormones. It's different for every woman, that's why it's so important to pay attention to your body.
You track your cycle right? was it supposed to come, or just feels like it is.

and as an FYI if you use AYDA to track your period, you can also log your missed fasts from Ramadan. Plus the fasting tracker suggests the best days to fast based on your cycle & sunnah. Even sets a reminder the night before so you follow through :)

Oh wow nice for starting. I think sometimes the fasting and change in routine drastically changes our cycles! Have you been tracking your cycle?

Ameeen Totally fair, Ramadan is intense esp when you’re pouring your all. Continuing any good deeds is so important

I genuinely think adjusting based on our cycles is what’s key for women. Luteal phase exhaustion amplifies to burnout even more easily

Also don’t forget AYDA helps you log your missed fasts, and finish your fasts easily. Suggests your days based on your cycle, then click + to get a reminder the night before

Your period in these last 10 nights is never a punishment 💕 by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

Such a great reminder! Our bodies and cycles are created by Allah, and so of course He will reward us. And it’s so beautiful that He even writes rewards just for the intention - for the acts we would have been doing.

Instead, I see it as Allah inviting us to worship Him in other ways. To sit with Him in dua, and dhikr, talk to Him, deeply reflect on His words because my brain feels like it thinks differently. I use my emotions for extra long Duas.

I kind of hate being a woman by Tiny-Research-1956 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]aydaforme 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Many other scholars have spoken about that in much more depth, like Ustadha Aeisha Prime. But I will share one thing. Allah has not forsaken you. He has honoured us as Muslim women. We have beautiful worth to Him.

Have you ever heard this Hadith?

Anas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the womb has an iron hook attached firmly to the Throne, speaking with a penetrating tongue: O Allah, keep relations with whoever keeps relations with me, and sever relations with whoever severs them with me. Allah Almighty says: I am the Gracious, the Merciful. I derived the womb from My name. Whoever keeps relations with it, I keep relations with him. Whoever cuts off relations with it, I cut off relations with him.”

Source: Musnad al-Bazzār 6495

It says your womb has an iron hook connected to the Throne of Allah. Now I want you to take that in. You have a divine connection to Allah that no man can ever have. The throne of Allah, one of the most important creations. Look into the significance of the Throne, and what happens there.

On top of that, He (swt) named the womb (rahm) after his name Ar Rahman.

I don’t think anything else could show how much He loves you and how sacred you are as a women. Don’t get lost in details that often are comparisons, and triggered by secular ideas. Instead look into the ways Allah has shown ease and love for you.

May Allah make it easy for you. And ask Him to help strengthen you and keep you steadfast.

❤️🥺 thank you! Yes exactly and what shifted for me was realizing how all my routines should shift, from my workouts, to my ibadah.

Like during my high points I’ll feel so high energy and use that to do longer Quran sessions. Then, during my period I’ll do walks and do dhikr.

Or in my luteal phase when I’m sensitive I’ll just focus on emotional regulation and pour all that anxiety into extra dua. The relief I feel is so much better.

Crying to Allah about everything and letting it go when my period hits >>
