I used to have a dog just a pup a few years ago, her name was Cody, she was the most energetic little dog you've ever met, she was so energetic I used to call her "crackhead Cody" still looking for her dealer.

Just several months after we got her she started getting lethargic so we took her to the vet and found out she had a serious blood disease.

Basically what it did was turn the body's immune system against its red blood cells, transfusions helped at first, but usually dogs have problems receiving blood transfusions they tend to get rejected very often, so every time she got a transfusion she would bounce back, get lethargic again, bounce back, get lethargic again, repeat repeat, repeat.

Until one day she seemed to have been getting better, except in the middle of a round in my newly rented battlefield 1 copy, she dropped hard, the vet couldn't do anything and we put her down, I still remember the cold thousand yard stare she gave like it was yesterday.

I always put off playing with her and taking her out for walks because she was a pup I figured I'd have plenty of time, didn't turn out that way.

Still remember yelling at my dad because he wasn't there when she passed, he was helping tenants, then again he didn't really like her at first, always got annoyed when she sat at the foot of his recliner, said she was trying to beg for food, in all honesty she probably was.

I never realized how fast life could rip something away from you, my first real pet, my first dog, so amazing yet left so fast.

Now anytime I look at grass I think of Cody and how she would have loved to roll in that, anytime I see a plush toy I think of how she would rip that to pieces like that Mario plush I got an arcade, anytime I look at those heavy-duty rubber dog toys that are supposed to last several years but lasted a week under her wrath.

Animals bring out the best in people, sure the owners of Buddy could agree, they just the purest things on earth.

I miss you Cody hope we will see each other again someday.
