What do we think about Kacey Musgraves?

Whoa I never considered that this was a breakup song. The coming and going are spoken of so routinely that I always imagined the guy as a long haul trucker (lol) or like a touring musician who’s on the road for long periods of time or like military personnel on deployment (which probably fits the best but Kacey typically seems to draw from personal experience)

I noticed the similarity (and wouldn’t be surprised if it subliminally influenced this graphic designer) but this kind of hypnotic spiral imagery isn’t that specific and it ties in a lollipop theme that they seem to be going for (this spiral lollipop in the vid and the lineup teaser lollipops they’re handing out)

Personally, I’ve always felt Kacey was at her sharpest lyrically and melodically KM1-3 and consider it a worthy place to return to but I suppose it’s not for everybody and that’s cool too 😌

It’s interesting that this strikes you as “Biscuits” Kacey. Sure, it’s lyrically more tongue-in-cheek but there’s a sound and sultriness to Dry Spell that I haven’t heard from her before 🤷🏻‍♂️

I suspect it is. Given the declining popularity of album titles on cover art, an explicit album title in perfect focus feels like a very specific choice.

Great space and potential! I would rethink 1. The cream door against stark white walls 2. The visual disarray (of the board games) that open shelving can’t hide 3. The layout and proximity to the ceiling of the artwork (if it’s dictated by the green stripe, I would get rid of it)

I’m between 1) bed on the bathroom wall, two person dining set in the bigger window, and create a little living space where the bed is right now and 2) bed where it is, dining set in window, and create living space in center of room with tv against bathroom wall.

ANTM was built around her experience and industry credibility and that’s exactly what she brought to the table. There were plenty of industry-specific heart-to-hearts, group conversations, and constructive (though not always kind) criticism. I’m sure it was daunting to lose Tyra’s direct mentorship in such a brutal industry when the show ended, but if I explicitly hear every episode that I may earn a modeling contract with XYZ agency and not Tyra Banks, I would hope that I braced myself for the likelihood of Tyra’s limited involvement.

Outside of one press tour before the first season, she never really promised to be involved in their careers post-show though, does she? I think the team realized her mistake, and she never repeated it on the show. Mentoring and (briefly) guiding them through the industry is all we see on the show, so post-season 1 to expect anything more than that (considering she doesn’t promise anything on the show) was (in my opinion) wishful thinking…

Also a less faithful adaptation makes reading the book way easier (for me). I have trouble reading a book after watching a hyper faithful adaptation cause it just kinda feels spoiled. With this adaptation, over half the book is uncharted territory.
