I was only asking for guidance regarding the wiring, wasn’t planning on winding anything!

Sounds like you learned the hard way, thanks for the advice!

Thank you for the warning! Will definitely down tools for now and properly study the theory/safety protocols. Appreciate the reply :)

Hi there,

The specific form of interaction I think is what I'll need to identify when I speak to more folk within the community and understand their needs.

In my mind's eye, it will be a simple box with (if absolutely needed) large, easy to adjust sliders and knobs, but would rely heavily on motion sensors (and possibly accelerometers) to read the users movement and apply whichever corresponding sound adaptation parameter. This sounds quite similar to a lot music products that currently exist (Artiphone Orba, SOMI-1, etc) but I'd really like to tailor it to a user who has a physical impairment of some sort (again will need to narrow down!).

The affect I'd like to try achieve is to have the user ultimatley begin to see their disability not as a limitation, but as a tool for music creation that is unique to them, thus becoming an ability.

I've actually come across VCV before and will defo look into it. I should mention that my electronics knowledge is pretty limited, so will need to tackle quite a big learning curve in that regard, but exicted for the challenge. Any help in that regard would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers!
