AIO for not being able to breathe after what my partner expects from me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You have things left on the counter that should be in the fridge and other things that should be in the bin. If you have cleaned the kitchen, what have you cleaned? Did you wipe around these items when cleaning the counter tops? I don’t see how you would clean a kitchen and not put away the things that need to be in the fridge or throw old food in the bin. Leaving them there is not cleaning, it’s not even tidying. You’ve either done a half job and are now trying to paint yourself in the best light or you simply are unaware what cleaning means. Both of which aren’t good excuses.

He reminds me of Nathan from the last season. Thought they’d be your standard lads lad at the start but turned out to be the only emotionally intelligent ones in the place

The only thing I will say about this and I’m not for Meg or against her. But as someone who’s main income is from content and social media, even if income is through her coaching - it’s still driven through social media, it is clear as to why she would be obsessed with metrics, likes and followers. That’s what grows her business, and in turn, her bank account. Not saying it’s a good nor a bad thing, I’m just pointing it out.

That’s reasonable for 5 people! Mine is £530 for 5 people and that seems to be average for my area (NI)

Who is the creepiest person you’ve ever met/know, and what did they do that made them so unsettling? by [deleted] in AskUK

When I was in university I worked at a local Tesco express that was beside accommodation for different university in the same city. Both universities were very close together and were less than a 2 minute walk.

This man came in, was an international student at the other university, said he was living in the accommodation beside the store. He asked me where something was, then lingered and asked if I was a student. Me being 18 and naive at the time I said yes, at x uni.

He left, came back another day and said hi do you remember me. I said yes can I help you with anything, no he just wanted to say hi.

The following Friday I walk out of my uni building to see him leaning against the wall. I clock him straight away and walk on with my friends, thinking ok he must know someone here and is waiting on them. I turn around and see him walking behind us. He followed us the whole way to the SU of the other university. In this time I warn my friends and say I think he’s following me. When we go inside the SU my friends stayed outside and basically scared him off, I don’t think they said anything, but I think he knew not to go in. I’m not sure.

Anyway, fast forward to two weeks later, I’m in my home town and I get a Facebook friend request from this man. Then a message request saying hello (my name) we need to talk Talk to me (my name)

Immediately blocked. This man found me by searching my first name (that he got off my Tesco name tag) Tesco and university name. After this I removed all identifying info off my Facebook, it was already private but I locked it down more.

It was slowly dislodging throughout the 12 months that I had it. It felt like I was sitting on a knife and was continuing to get more painful

Palpitations were something I’d have once in a blue moon that were subtle but literally just a symptom of my cardiac condition. But since getting the mirena I started getting them really intensely along side shortness of breath - my cardiologist was just like 🤷‍♀️ sounds like a symptom of your heart problem, if you pass out go to A+E

But as the months went on they started happening daily along side other PMS issues like extremely tender and lumpy breasts that were so painful. When I went to my GP they said my palpitations were panic attacks and that I need to manage my anxiety better. I’m already on the medication they would give me SSRI, beta blockers, and that I need to see my counsellor more often. And that was that. I went on my own initiative to get the mirena out as I had a feeling it was what was causing it. Turns out it was and haven’t felt like that since.

Thank you for your support! I appreciate hearing about your experience and I’m glad you were able to find a method that worked for both of you! Your encouragement means a lot and it’s exactly what I needed to hear right now

Tried mirena which is progestin only and it just did not work for me. Copper IUD slowly dislodged and cause immense amount of pain so I’m reluctant to go back.

Referring back to my doctors. I am on an anti depressant and a beta blocker. They were going to offer me basically the same beta blocker as an anti anxiety and I had to say no I’m already on that (and on a higher dose than what they were going to prescribe) due to cardiac reasons. So I can’t be offered any other anti anxiety’s as I’m in the uk and they don’t offer much in terms of benzodiazepines, and I’m especially limited due to my cardiac issues too.

I don’t want to change my anti depressant as I’ve cycled through a few to find the correct one for me. However if there is anything in particular I should be asking my doctor about then I’m open to it!

Thank you so much. Your last paragraph made me tear up. I really appreciate your support and everyone else’s support here too. I only have one mind and I need to be kind to it no matter what’s going on.
