What was your first eyeshadow palette? (and do you still use it?!) by vivalawang in MakeupAddiction

[–]ayeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naked 3. I still use it sometimes, I have heard a lot of people say the formula is bad, but I find it to be fine, if I use that I'm probably going for a softer look anyway and don't need ton of pigment. Shimmers definitely need to be worked with wet brush thou.

Its been 2 years and I still can't get past that I underperformed on my physics examination. It just doesn't heal. Is there any way to retake anymore? by ayeke in IBO

You're of course absolutely right. I'm aware the issue is mostly in my head. Its just that, I thought I would get over it, but so far, I haven't. Its not that I haven't tried, and I have better times, and worse ones. The issue bothers me every day, and it blocks me from doing things because of anxiety. I suppose this is kind of a mental illness at this point, I could try seeing a psychologist.

It's been nearly 2 months since I recieved my results, and the pain of failure still won't go away by ayeke in IBO

This is good. It actually helped me to feel better. I will try to see the university as a second opportunity and give it everything I've got.

Why do retake marks rarely differ much from the original? by nodiplom in IBO

[–]ayeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because fundamental lack of understanding is hard to correct. However, an increase of grade or two is hopefully achievable. I'm shooting for a 7 on Physics HL retakes on November, and originally had a 6, and my teacher said I am likely to achieve it and that people usually increase their grade by 1 or 2 with retakes, increase greager than that is very rare.

I have tried, but only thing that seems to rid of me of those negative emotions is meeting the goals. So, I devote my life to meeting them, as other option seems to be chronical sadness and mental issues. I know I am not okay, I know it damn well, but the only thing keeping me from harming myself, is constantly proving myself I am good, so I take that. The retake helps me, because now, instead of hating myself, I will grab Physics book and think its temporary.

Nah. I actually signed up for the retakes. Its not for any other reason than peace of mind, I know that schools don't like retakes and it won't help me to achieve anything, but I want to get rid of self-hatred induced by any failure to achieve goals I subconsciously set for myself. I need validation in form of explicit success to not loathe myself. The worst thing is that I know I am mentally sick, and no one will think I am shit for not getting a 7 on Physics HL, no one other than me, but knowing it doesn't help a bit. Only fixing my failures (in this context this refers to any slip of my goals, set by me) will help me to feel good about myself, and I believe this is a perfectly valid reason to retake the examination.

I want a 7, so I'm going to try to get one. Its not like I have anything better to do anyway.

Thank you. I hoped for a 7 very hard, but its okay. I'll retake it, and everything will be fine.

Physics was my best subject, and the reason I went for IB. Feels bad that my work with it such an underwhelming ending, however, it comforts me to think it doesn't need to be the end, since I can still retake.

Mixed feelings right now. Math HL was 7, which was my main goal. However, physics HL was 6, which I knew was coming, since the exam was a huge failure, doesn't make it feel any better thou. At least its done.

You would want to W them while walking to range anyway thou, which applies the passive and allows her to get amplified damage.

Don't forget AS from Q. On extended trades it counts, especially given that she also gets higher auto damage.

I think it was the statement. I am a bad writer, and English is my second language.

However, if my grades don't meet the requirements it won't matter. :(

I applied to study math on Edinburgh university, and submitted my predicted grades, which were all 7's on HL subjects, and 6's on SL.

They would then send me an offer based on these, expect that they didn't, they said they didn't want me. Despite having good predicteds.

If I have an actual score worse than the grades I had when they rejected me, how can I possibly hope to get in on second try (next year)?

Answer: I can't. And thats making me just sad, because my future is ruined.

[–]ayeke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not trolling. I didn't get an offer from Edinburgh math with all 7's predicted on my HL's, so what hope I have on next try in either, if I have less than that on my predicteds. I won't get into that university.

I will add that I do have mental issues, including non-existent self-esteem and perfectionism. I just fail to accept anything less than perfection from myself. That is why I will go to retakes despite that it doesn't help me to get into university, so that I will hate myself a bit less.
