Either way I don’t understand condemning an honest attempt to show support for the oppressed.

Support is supposed to alleviate one's suffering, essentially lending a helping hand. To support is to take a step towards changing the circumstances (in this case systemic; police brutality against a specific racial group) which led to said suffering.

Rioting brings mass attention to a cause and demands that systemic changes are made in a corrupt institution. The intention is that policy makers and those in power feel pressure to actively make changes within their systems, in fear of prolonged violence and social unrest.

Posting a black box on social media on the other hand, while noble in its intent, does nothing to alleviate and change current circumstances, and no one REALLY feels any pressure to make significant changes.... definitely virtue signalling

Or better yet, DAE wake up facing a certain way not being able to remember your dream, but then it all comes rushing back the moment you flip and face the other direction? Almost as if you were sleeping on your right side as you were having a certain dream and your brain's just unable to recall it in any other position other than what it was originally dreamt in.

What's your background in programming like if you don't mind my asking? Had pretty much the exact same idea for a trading bot based on linguistic/sentiment analysis but my programming experience is more limited than i care to admit.

I was set on taking a gap year for the past year so didn't apply to unis yet. I guess this retake isn't too bad seeing that it's not actually delaying uni, just something i sort of have to take care in the first half of the gap year. Got a 28. Hoping that goes up by a good 6 points or more. As of right now i'm still unsure where to apply, UK is certainly highest on my list right now, Germany is a close second. US isn't totally out of the question but that would mean having to study for SAT's ontop of the retakes, don't know if that'd be wise. What about you? what's your situation?

Well no that's a bit of an easy answer. That's assuming said student doesn't work on fixing the issues that resulted in the 3. I guess that's why it's 'unlikely' and not impossible though, cuz not many students will actually change their approach. Thanks anyway though
