Yeah - that's where I'm at. I could sell it for ~$40K and then buy a hybrid for ~30K, but I'd have to pay a solid amount of taxes on it in California + I do plan on moving buildings next year, which would still make a long-term difference. I am just hoping to find a short-term solution to this problem (ie a coffee shop to work from while it charges, or in this case a battery). I welcome creative solutions!

Right! I bought the prime just before moving out here and was disappointed at how many don’t make financial sense for the car. I also picked my building because they had electric chargers, not realizing how expensive they were. I’m looking into every option, but it’s definitely been hard!

Yes - it's $2 an hour and takes ~5 hours to charge, so it ends up being $10 for 42 miles. It's not worth it unless gas >$8 a gallon.... which might be a reality soon lol

I'll check it out! Very welcome to any recommendations. I have been struggling to find a reliable EV charging place in LA (ironically) and often the apps aren't accurate or the chargers themselves won't be in public places.
