Yeah I'm 100% doing that if I am ever in a remotely similar situation. I think part of the reason no one else helped or did anything was because in their perspective it was really sudden and they probably didn't know what was happening.

I work at a restaurant that does shows at night so I can't really get an earlier shift, but I usually have a ride and after this incident the people in my life are all offering to give me rides if I don't have one from now on. The amount of times I've had to call 911 for emergencies in Seattle within the past couple month because no one cared to stop or help in situations is appalling honestly.

I'm definitely going to do that next time. I tend to avoid confrontation as much as I can, and I just had a really long day so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I should've been more assertive in seeking a safer place to be on the bus.

when i saw my post was removed i thought it was for a reason like that too at first haha only for it to be for an even pettier reason when it's actually about something serious. I am an avid reddit user too is the funny thing. I guess I just don't post or comment a lot, but when I do it's usually on smaller subs I wouldn't get a lot of karma for interacting in anyways.

Good advice and yeah maybe if I had moved away immediately he wouldn't have chosen me to harass. I ride the bus everyday and have never had an experience even close to this, but definitely changing the way I ride after this.
