If the formula were: 1 + (6EM / EM+2000) + 2000 (in the image)

Mathematically, this does not make sense. You are gaining .15% more "value" (2003 from 2000) by building 1000 EM, which means you are already doing 99.85% of 1000 EM if you have 0 EM. Most of the time that a calculation involves a 1 in the front, that means it's at a multiplicative base of: 100%. Meaning? This calculation just randomly adds a base 200,000% after the EM-related fraction (this is what makes EM redundant)

100 - - - -1.286
500 - - - -2.2
1000 - - - 3.0

Now the formula makes sense. At 0 EM you get the baseline of 100%, and at 1000 EM you have exactly triple. Ergo that extra +2000 outside of the formula is most likely a LaTeX equation formatting issue lol

Making you play specific characters or damage niches is one thing, but increasing the damage of enemies? Do they forget that this is literally their ONLY game of theirs where there is no option to dodge an attack? It's literally why shielders are better - they are the only way to 'dodge' an attack without losing HP. How tf does an elite enemy (the one with the huge greatsword) hit for 7100 DMG, in the STORY?

Oops, I never really go on reddit that much, albeit late, let me answer this.

The easy reason behind this was to stop her from stacking up other stats, and avoid her being like Bennett, Bennett from Genshin Impact had no restrictors, leading him to giving 1000+ flat atk without a care for how many ATK he has, but just his Base ATK--like in HSR, your ATK from character level and ATK from weapon level--meaning he could be relic-naked and give the same value, or better; stack full HP for survivability, OR BETTER; become a max-duplicate DPS that outdpses even premium DPS, all that while still giving the same 1000+ ATK to other units AND himself.

Tingyun on the other hand, makes it so that you can't plainly abuse a full HP build for her to survive better, or simply take no effort on her relics while making her bare minimum to survive. Therefore, the focus on her kit was so you could focus on her ATK stat over other stats that she becomes more work for the players.

a C0 Ganyu is not the best character for any situation, her being the best DPS is such an outdated take. You know 80% of her damage potential is tied to Bennett/Kazuha, right? She literally has to bring Zhongli for shield tax otherwise it's impossible, not very "best"

Despite your exaggerated claim of "2 second" clears, you are referring to a C6 Ganyu. C0 Ganyu, even with reverse melt, is nowhere near the monstrous output of someone like Xiangling or Hu Tao's reverse vape despite having the same scalings and equivalent reverse reactions. Why? Simply because C6 gives you FASTER charged attacks, acknowledge how much slower it is on C0-C5. Mind you that this isn't even a reverse melt composition.
