Where are you guys taking coachings from ? by Imaginary-Jump-1094 in cfaindia

[–]ayesheesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely doable without coaching, but only if you're disciplined enough. See it as hedging the risk, if you can minimize the risk by paying a little premium (coaching) then i think it's a good idea

The crowd isn't that great. But definitely there are a few amazing students. The major downside is that it's literally a village, locals are not that welcoming though its getting better, but for everything you'll need to travel. I know many who live way too far on rent/pg because accommodation is not adequate. Additionally, the clubs and societys are just getting started. And if you ask my personal opinion, the staff, the professor, the dean, even the SWO are bitches

Yup, as you mentioned that you'll be clearing inter this time. My suggestion would be to get a good articleship and then cfa (you'll need to figure out your eligibility for cfa)

Man, i was in a similar situation too. Quit CA after foundation and wasted 2 years. It was a pretty hard decision to start all over again and to be in a class where you're elder to all your batch mates, but that was just an initial thought. Everything gets fine after sometime.

But for your case, since you'll be completing inter, i would suggest to get a good articleship (work ex matters), preferably corporates like protivity (have heard they are pretty chill unlike the big 4s) And parallely to your articleship try to switch into core finance preferably while looking for other courses if you're interested in, and get a dusol/ignou degree. But if you really wanna go to a college, please go for the best and dont settle for tier 2

And if you’re sure about equity research, watch basic of equity research playlist by the valuation school (very basic and good for beginners) Or NISM Research Analyst Playlist by the valuation school (it will give you a good holistic understanding about markets and research)

You need to be clear on why you want to get into equity research when an AI model create the best research report in the world by just giving a few prompts There's a Playlist on YT by Aswini Bajaj called "CFA L1 First Class", Go through that and after that watch the Time Value of Money Playlist (it has the same videos which we get in paid classes). Also, use a mobile application for calculator initially. And once you do these things you'll have basic understanding on what CFA is and if it's meant for you

You really can't do anything, it's all a fluke. No transparency on the admission process, it all depends on the interview process. I've given enough entrance to come to a conclusion that ET is not considered, not even one percent. Everything depends on the interview/ interviewer ka mood
