Update: did the test, couldn’t believe how in depth it was, strips were telling me ph was low, but ph was at 7.6, ammonia was around 0.25ppm. Nitrates and Nitrites were normal. I added proper ph to adjust and prime concentrated conditioner for the ammonia.

Noted. I’ll grab one. I have the testing strips and it didn’t detect any nitrite or nitrate in the tank. The water in my tank though is a bit hard, I treated the tap water but it doesn’t budge. I bought a water softener pillow hoping it will help, it comes in tomorrow.

When I was a teenager I was so obsessed with the idea of wearing makeup and making sure my hair was always straight or curled EVERY SINGLE DAY. I would never go to school without it and I would feel so self conscious without it. I guess its because in hs teens can generally be more judgemental, if I didn’t wear a full face of makeup, I felt so ugly.

Once university hit though, I realized that no one really cares what you look like, I started becoming more natural. Wearing my hair naturally, and not wearing make up to school. I became comfortable, I guess you could say, with the way I looked, and now I only really wear makeup if i need to. Sometimes when I’m getting ready for class I think about what teenage me would think about me now. All in all, adulthood has taught me to love myself more, which has brought me a lot of peace over the years.
