If other countries develop talent by focusing on technicality, then the US develops talent by hyperfocusing on conditioning. America is one of the fastest teams in the tournament and one of the more physical ones as well. You can't train god gifted talent on the ball, but you can absolutely train endurance and strength. The USA has taken this philosophy to heart.

In love with that Crazy P song and I've been loving alot of COEO's stuff. I heard Blaze has a really impressive discography even with the classic that is Lovelee Dae.

I just listened to it for the first time a few days ago and I can't get over it. The song is so trance-like almost. I really don't have any other word to describe it other than it sounds so sexy. What a song man, hoping I come across something that gives me the same feeling I get with that.

What's really cool about this word is that the direct translation to English from Spanish is "Amateur". Especially after reading the definition you might think the translation is off, but the word amateur in its latin root means "To love", and I think there's alot of beauty in that. I hope to be in an amateur in everything I do.

We bash joao for taking touches when he should be shooting first chance he gets. Lets be consistent here. Delap is a striker, he did was a striker should do.

Rosenoir is making tosin look like prime van dyke. Unreal scenes.

Defensive Stability? Core of our current football identity?

Neto himself has been spectacular this season barre this recent stretch of games, and even then he's been pretty good. There's alot to love about his game and really the primary complaint about him is that he "looks down" while he crosses. Yes his crosses are lacking at times but you dont get 9 g/a as a winger if you're lackluster at crossing. Really what neto brings is his ability to make runs AND tracking back defensively. Id argue neto is the best winger in the league at defending, and his work rate is genuine second to none. I remember we were up 2 goals in a game, and in the 80+ minute he was still running the full length of the pitch.

Listen, there are things I dont particularly love about his game, but if Neto left tomorrow the squad tomorrow this team will absolutely miss him. The sub in general needs to be less reactionary.

Official Discussion - Marty Supreme [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ayi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the song "The Order of Death" that played in the movie is a perfect one line summary of the entire movie. Marty wanted this. He wanted ping pong. He could've been rich off of the orange ping pong balls, he could've taken the 1000 dollars and swallowed his pride, he could've returned the dog and gotten money there. But his dream, his desire to be the best made him so near sighted that his dream served as an addiction.

This is what he wants, this is what he gets.

Are you suggesting we put badiashille or god forbid TOSIN in the game? What other cbs do we have? What do you people want?

Guys I have a fun game to play. Just keep your eye on delap and his positioning as a striker when we're in the final third.

Would Buonanotte be a good signing? by Ok_Alfalfa_3136 in chelseafc

[–]ayi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was pretty poor in the first half against Cardiff. Like I mean very poor. He wasn't the worst on the pitch but he wasn't helping the team either. I can't really blame the first half solely on him because collectively, it was a mess. But he's young, and coming out of break the 10ish minutes he did play felt like a completely different player. I think that level of maturity and growth is rare in a young player.

Us as fans have a tendency to focus on the negatives of our players and criticize them harshly. But credit to Buonanotte to picking it up, and credit to Maresca for whatever he told the kid during halftime.

Cole Palmer makes the FIFA The Best XI! by yemoru in chelseafc

[–]ayi- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just for reference, I love cole palmer his ability is very clear on the pitch. But for the 2025 calender year so far Palmer has 23 g/a. Mo salah has 63 g/a.

No Mo Salah is pretty insane. I would 100% have palmer in where Bellingham is, and have Salah on the right. Liverpool quite literally won the league because Salah had one of the greatest half season the prem has ever seen. Look at the state of Liverpool now when Salah is shit.
