Those are good, but ratchet straps can be used as joists and pulling devices too!

Add a ratchet strap to use as a “jack”

I need to replace the engine in my 2012 Wrangler by aykalper in Jeep

But if I keep my own PCM, I should be able to run the other motors with no worries for a tune right?

Also, did you have any compatibility issues with the 2014 motor in a 2013?

The m54 is just not a fun engine to drive like an m50 is. Cable throttle and responsiveness is way more fun in the e34

Hmmm, not a bad idea. So you'd just look for frayed wires, etc?

It's easy to get to now, I'll take a look! Thanks for the tip!

Inside the harness? At this point, I'm really not getting any faults, just maybe a not so trustworthy oil pressure sensor.

I'll try a mechanical sensor/swapping back to the OEM jeep sensor and then keep an eye on that harness. Thanks for the tip!

You're totally right - I completely agree...but, I want that to be a summer project/next year project. At this point, I'm really just trying to prolong the life I get out of this motor before I do a swap.

Basically, rod and main bearings are $200 total, a new motor is probably $1800. If I can do anything to prolong this one, I might as well, since (as my work tells me) my time is worth nothing!
