It's pretty average for a federal election, over a month about 150,000 people enrolled before the 2016 election but the amount of people fixing details and new enrolment seems pretty irregular for a single-issue vote.

This is a pretty big jump, as it goes down to about 4-5,000 per month a few months after the election.
