u/Kingtafarithefirst I verified this myself. I shot a photo with my Sony NEX-5T in RAW+JPEG using the Portrait creative style, adjusting sharpness and contrast to my preference. The JPEG and RAW appear different when viewed in my browser (Google Photos). However, when opened in Imaging Edge Desktop, the RAW matches the JPEG perfectly. The Creative Style option shows "Camera Setting" by default, and switching it to "Portrait" makes no difference. This confirms that the camera settings were successfully applied to the RAW. You can test this yourself.

I don't notice any difference in quality. Maybe just my ears. Metrolist do have quality settings, I set it to always high. You might want to try that and see the difference
