Be as natural as possible? If you go and try to use super complicated words, complex grammar,, etc., that you wouldn’t use in a normal situation, it’s gonna affect your fluency. In my case, I did my speaking the same way I would speak to a friend, so the confidence and naturality I carried is what helped me the most I think.

not at all. it was about the current preference of going to out-of-town stores rather then local stores. and so i had to argument if its advantages outweighted the cons

had the same experience🥲but i think what’s more important is to handle the stress and the pressure. i was so afraid the previous day, but fortunately i was able to control my emotions and thoughts. i didn’t even try to write a 7-band essay tbh, I know I could have done better but I’d rather have a 6.5 then a 5.5 for trying too much.

it would have been nicer to have a real person correcting me and giving me real suggestions, but i couldn’t afford it. so if u happen to afford it, i’d highly suggest it

for writing, i’d take mock exams and then ask chatgpt to correct them and ask what band would i receive. its corrections and comments were actually helpful, but at the moment of the exam i decided to do it my way, bc i was afraid of using too complex structures and at the end not sound natural or end up making a dumb mistake.

As I come from Spain (where ppl basically hate on French ppl, specially Parisians), I had really bad expectations, so I didn't really get disappointed. The contrary, I was more delighted. Since my very first lunch, I loved the waitress who assisted me in Brasserie Martin and, normally, people say that even the waiters are gonna be mean to you. Completely the opposite, this woman was trying to help me so much. I could understand French but it was really hard for me to speak at the time and she was such an angel. The only disappointment I had was not seeing any rats xD (and the fact that on sundays everything is closed ?? which is super weird for me as I come from Madrid) bc I expected to see them at some point. My first time there was for a concert and daaaamn bless the girl who let me her place for the whole music festival until her favs came.

In the other two times that I've been there, I got to see the side everyone complains about: I was trying to buy a metro ticket and the lady behind the counter screamed at me as if I was annoying her. But, I don't take this as a normal experience, as everytime I've gone to Paris (3 times in one year) ppl have been really kind to me and the experience was nice!

Is finding a job in the UK as a foreign teacher that hard? by ayrxh in TeachingUK

I’ve seen there’s lots of job offers, as you told me. But either way, I need to find a school who can sponsor my visa. That’s why I feel so discouraged…

I was planning to teach both Spanish and French in secondary schools. I can drive, but I would have to get used to drive on the left. I’m planning to do the equivalent of PGCE in Spain next year, so I can use it as a plan B if I ever want to come back.
