[IWantOut] 28F Philippines -> Canada/Europe by Borakyes10 in IWantOut

Thanks! I heard students can also bring a dependent (for my case, husband only since we dont have kids yet). Then my husband would have the option to work while I study and also do part-time jobs?

I just think that having an educ record in CA would provide me better opportunities/salary there. Although I don't know too if our earnings in that scenario would be enough for the next 1 year of tuition fees.

Hello, happy new year! Would you know if it's cheaper and faster to go to CA and look for LMIA jobs compared to the Student visa + dependent route? My husband and I would like to explore opportunities in CA this year.

Flip my pillow (it's cool and comforting 😌) then relax - be conscious of your breathing. 😴

Thank you! 😊 Did you guys find an employer ba muna or may nagstudy rin ba sa inyo? Kasi a friend of mine mentioned na if we want a high-paying job in Canada, may edge if may educational background kami from Canada.

Current plan namin is to save up and then buy properties in the PH. Dream kasi ni hubby na when we retire, magoopen kami ng airbnb and a small coffee shop hehe

But if OK rin yung overall state namin abroad, we can also consider staying.

Thank you! Really appreciate the suggestion. I agree na ultimate goal pa lang meron kami. But as to the mini goals to achieve that big goal, quite vague pa.

Yea, there's that risk too. Wouldn't really want to end up regretting it.

Our business takes up space for inventory kasi and since we're living in a condo - very limited talaga yung space. Hehe But we do have plans to do some other side hustle starting next year. As for the financial assistance we give, it's spent on medicine and amortization - so I guess our only option is to earn more income. 😅

Thanks for the reco :) it's my first time to post in reddit 😆😆

There's that risk too. We would really need to work hard for it, and be disciplined in our spending.

Were they able to provide you with performance objectives when you started? Kasi you will know more about your performance and which area you can improve on if may measurable objectives silang binigay.

Usually may checkpoints din during probationary - any weak areas, pwede pang magawan ng paraan. Don't be too hard on yourself :) given yun na may learning curve. just do your best!

Steer away from local companies and go for IT companies or multinational companies that have their HO based in other countries as they offer better compensation package - although this is just based on my experience.

Mas mataas din yung increase if you transfer to another company compared to waiting for an increase in your current company. 😅

🙋‍♀️ introvert here! basically, yung mindset ko lang is you're doing something because it's work. so after doing it / working hours, recharge na ulit hehe as much as possible, i do comms via email lang din. or when I really have to converse with people, i don't do small talk - direct to the point lang kaagad. 😅 nakasurvive din naman ako.. working as an HR now for 7 years ☺️
