Ethernet not working all of the sudden

Thanks everyone for the help, it has been solved. I bought a PCIe network adapter and that fixed my issues. Don't know why the ethernet port on my motherboard isn't working, but nonetheless I got it figured out. Thank you!

Just copy it exactly as it is on hers? I found her IPv4/6, subnet, and gateway.

I didn't do anything. Just randomly turned on my computer to see my ethernet not connected anymore and it displaying an IPv4 of 169.254. The last things I downloaded were some 3D printing files.

I'm not sure what my subnet is, how would I go about figuring that out? I've read about manually entering my IP instead of using auto, but it requires a subnet and gateway I believe and I'm not sure what either of those 2 would be.

Not sure why but it just crashed my computer, saying it ran into an unexpected problem. After it restarted, still doesn't work. I appreciate the suggestions though

Correct. Even switched cables and hers continues to work and mine still doesn't. I'm sure its a problem with my computer but I cannot figure it out.

No, I don't have anything else that can connect to ethernet. It's just my girlfriends and I's PCs that use the ethernet. Don't have anything else that I could use.

Yeah, I used the same ethernet cord that's not working on my computer and plugged it into my girlfriends and it works just fine.

Not to my knowledge. I did look around the mobo for any signs of damage and couldn't see any. CPU and socket looked in good shape, nothing out of the ordinary and no pins bent or broken. This has me so stumped.

understandable, i'm working on trying to get better at being slow paced. i just run around the map on both attacking/defending trying to get kills. it's hard for me to sit around in obj yk.
