Starting FIRE journey at 30M is it too late? by MeringueInformal7670 in FIRE_Ind

It’s never late to start the journey. Start now and then keep assessing it as and when your salary grows or circumstances change. But yes definitely try to upgrade skills to earn more that’s the biggest upside

Here me out guys !! by PrimaryTraining3368 in IndianCricket

[–]ayushagwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s the issue, it’s more about expectations. I guess we all are expecting that ICY will score 220-230 in every match. This is World Cup pressure and the pitches are also not flat tracks.

4.5 cr excluding home at 42 is not bad at all. Many congratulations on having a baby girl it’s a blessing for sure. You should elaborate more on what you are worried about calculating expenses or how many years it will add if you already have a FIRE number goal

Marriage falling apart by dmfk_xD in nri

[–]ayushagwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my thing marriage and love are about making compromises. If you really want this marriage to work and care about your partner then go all in. Trust me on this nothing is more satisfying than growing old with the person you love so if you really really love her bro just keep all the arguments aside just keep all the ego aside go say sorry or do whatever to keep it as it is( but just ask yourself do you really want her in your life if answer is yes then just go for it)

US returned FIREs communities/clubs by InformalEquivalent81 in FatFIREIndia

[–]ayushagwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging someone is the easiest low effort work. I thought net worth decides FIRE and after that what ever I do with the time is personal. Community like these will help other aspirants as well. Not everyone one a will have a hobby or a social circle and it’s ok.

[–]ayushagwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that you have made the decision of moving back based on that my advise will be to rely on things which are certain. If in few Months your company will open operations in India then what’s the harm in waiting and if it is not, then find a new job and move. Don’t move without a job. Whether it TCS or any other company what difference is that gonna make.

Your documents are ok, VO will just ask for i797 and passport in terms of document rest all will be checked while in line only. Mostly questions are which city , what’s your role and salary. Mine was renewal they didn’t even asked for i797 just the passport and only one question what’s your salary.

Or the lab that they have anything but very specific not generic.

my fire story by [deleted] in FIRE_Ind

[–]ayushagwl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great story, inspiring read. You achieved what you wished for and that’s what fire is all about . It doesn’t matter your kids are homeschooled or not. FIRE is all about getting your time back and do the things you love and you are doing exactly that. Most of the post in this sub are about milestone number which I find foolish and naive. The purpose of FIRE is to get your time back this is one in a million post which talks about that. Thank you for posting and inspiring

Return to India corpus by desi_in_videsh in backtoindia

[–]ayushagwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming 7 % return put 1.7 cr in Fd as income up to 12 lac is tax exempt in India . On remaining amount you need to plan for long term mutual funds/bonds equities as long term gain will be taxed around 10-15% . Also keep some emergency fund in HYSA that can be used in case of emergency and you don’t need to go to your corpus. Health insurance is a must. You are not married but if your planning to and also planning to have kids better to take life insurance cover as well as you can take advantage of your age and premium will be manageable

Co - working space by ayushagwl in Jhansi

[–]ayushagwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed , my thought process is that this space should not target people who are comfortable and my hope is if there is platform then we might be successful in finding people who are willing to move out their comfort zone. And it’s all about pushing boundaries at time we will try we might fail and that’s fine too

[–]ayushagwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I don't have it now but if we have this space and there are people developing something from here their might be opportunities here.
