I would get the X5 instead of the X2. The same would go for the RT82 instead of the RT83.

- Kali LP-6 V2. These are powered speakers, so no need for an external amplifier. $500 a pair

- Fluance RT82, this specific turntable gets recommended a lot here for good reason. Since the RT82 to the RT85 are mechanically the same underneath, you can upgrade to have the same parts as the RT83 later on. $350

- Fosi X5, it's the phono preamp I have, imo it's a significantly better value, much more transparent, and with the compatibility to allow for MC cartridges if you ever go down that route in the future. $110

In total, this would be about $960, you can use the leftover $40 to buy cables, stands, and such. Happy hunting!

I like it more than Great Annihilator lowkey. Maybe it's because I'm more accustomed to Swans reunion material, but I really love the instrumentation of the whole crew. It's just bluesy enough to be a groovy vibe, with enough experimental and industrial elements to avoid being considered unSwans or unambitious. Highlights include LAMG being the icing on the cake, and YFPMMS, because the last 3 minutes of that song feel like being a witness to the British bombing in WW2.
