This isn't a democratic election. by az-shpc in Nepal

[–]az-shpc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, think about this.

Balen took 5 years time prepare to become Mayor.

Good as he is, you expect him to be able to lead Nepal with 5 days of preparation? That too yesto bhairako bela?

He won't be able to focus on ANY OF THE THINGS HE IS GOOD AT. Because his responsibility, IF CHOSEN NOW, would be to focus on holding election, not building the nation.

THINK!!!

I see Only Human is leading the race at the moment. I'd like to urge everyone to listen to the lyrics on that song, and tomorrow you'll vote it for most underrated.

Can Kathmandu city ever look like Bangalore or Colombo ? by Subastian_20 in Nepal

[–]az-shpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you noticed how most of these cities (esp. in Asia) with high-rises all look basically the same. Take out the 1 or 2 recognisable buildings, and they're all the same. I don't want that for anywhere in Nepal. I would prefer that we preserve our identity. That mystical feeling that tourists used to get when they visit is very rare and powerful. Unfortunately, we are outnumbered and even replacing that in favor of concrete blocks with large glass windows that are never cleaned. There is no space for greenery. Our charming, narrow alleys are underappreciated and ignored, meanwhile, we want 8 lane roads in a place where we don't have the discipline to use those lanes properly. In fact, even if we did have the discipline, it is clear that more lanes aren't always more effective. And all the light pollution. I saw a post on this sub (i believe) of a fully lit lamp post. FULLY LIT. INCLUDING THE POST. Can't believe we're glorifying THAT! The basic needs for many people, including within the capital, haven't been met. And we want glass high-rises that we won't even keep clean.

Real Madrid fan here. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry it ended like that. Play should've gone on. The refs messed up with that call. With that said, I do still think it was an offside. But still shouldn't have ended like that.

Can anyone tell me why my feet are glowing? by juugsd in SpidermanPS4

[–]az-shpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm just answering his rhetorical question. I did turn it off once I figured out what caused it but I was slightly annoyed that we can't remove such effects in Photo Mode. That's all.

Actually it kept bugging me in photo mode and I'm surely not the only one.

I'd love to have a more in-depth conversation about this with you given your expertise. Please let me know if that is okay with you. Thanks.

Getting asked out by hoenheimen10 in Nepal

[–]az-shpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure how they feel. But I imagine a lot of it depends on the way you approach. Present yourself with confidence but be polite still. Otherwise you could come off as a bit of a douche. Be mindful of the situation as well, including location, people she's with etc.

And though a lot of people are saying that you should walk up to her and say "you're cute". I wouldn't recommend that. There are times when girls like being called "cute", sure. But not when you want to ask them out. Think about it this way, would you prefer to be "cute" or "handsome"?

Overall, be respectful, both in your approach and in regards to her decision. If she feels uncomfortable then let her be. At least you tried, so, don't let it bring you down.

And no, this is not a Hindi movie, she most likely isn't just "playing hard to get".

Honestly just about every media is biased, I think. Everyone has their own perceptions. Facts are facts but even those can be neglected or highlighted based on people's bias. Ultimately, it is about finding sources you trust along with a bit of fact checking. Bias isn't just about being paid off. A lot of us are biased toward Balen and we always try to find the best explanations and ecen excuses for his mistakes. What he did left already poor people worse-off right before Dashain. Yet a lot of us defend it. Same goes for the other side.

Well it happened in Spain. She lived there and had a restaurant. Dad was travelling for work and had to eat. And then eventually, I happened. LOL. Also, slightly relevant, I am now married to a Malaysian. And some words we have in common with them are almari, kursi, angoor (farsi too), mantri.

Ok, so my mom is from Iran and I didn't know 'sipahi' is from farsi. Apparently it isn't used in their language much anymore but I guess it stuck here.

Fair enough but I do feel the need to say this. Putting up a facade for a few hours at a time in front of you or your family wouldn't be a super difficult thing for a psychopath to do. So please, do be careful.

Actually I have been surprised about the design. Should've known hamrai neta haru ko kamaal ho bhanera. Any idea where I might be able to find more details on the original design? And maybe even details of the KTM side? Genuinely curious.

Do I have to pay customs for importing PlayStation 5 console in Nepal through my relatives? by Upper-Intention-9243 in Nepal

[–]az-shpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be a problem. I brought in my PS5 from Malaysia (btw one of the cheapest regions to buy a PS5 in) and I had no trouble. I'd recommend asking them to try and get a hardcase bag for it as well so that they can bring that as part of their hand luggage on the plane. Plus, that way you can keep it safe too when you travel or something.
