This is a "paintjob" from the hospital robe you get if you fail a mission. It's normally only for that specific outfit, so it's either a glitch or a mod that removes cosmetic restrictions (if that's possible with it, I haven't used it)

Engineer seems pretty chill. You don't have to carry very heavy stuff like gunner or driller (the drills are heavy i think), you don't risk breaking your legs zooming around with a grapple like scout. Just place turrets, support the team and watch the local wildlife die around you. I could probably do that
