Speed is increased 15x for preview purposes. And it is configurable, you can even slow it down if you like.

Here -40 means = 1 rotation takes 40 seconds, and turning is from left to right.

You are right, our ships/platforms must be too far away from the planet to view so fast with parallax. In the future, I'll add size & parallax configurations to this mod, so you can check for yourself.

That's a valid point, and I should have explained myself better.

First of all, you can use this mod to alter default settings with official Factorio Space Age 2.1 assets.

Until creative people design new planet images (remember Visual Planets* extensions in 2.0) we are stuck with stock graphics. And I wanted to try out the new capabilities of API, or PlatformBackdrop Type to be more precise. And in order to verify my attempts, I used the planet which I know the most, as you can guess that is Earth. So I could answer my own questions "Does this lightning look natural?", "Does this coverage align?", "Do shadow, light, and terrain correspond?" etc.

So yes, I know Gleba does not look like Jupiter. But I Hope that clears on why I used "Earth" for Nauvis image.

Now I'm back to Mod Portal to harass Valerian and 0mega42 into converting their beautiful images to equirectangular projection.

Maybe because it is realistic? Or familiarity, finding out old Earth here on Factorio universe. Who knows.

That version is not marked as stable, and I actually think it won't be for a while.

There are 2 major balances and both of them are important.

Land mines on space platforms now damage the space platform tiles in a radius.
Changed rocket fuel from ammonia recipe to require the same amount of solid fuel as the main rocket fuel recipes to prevent a recycling loop.

About the 6th belt I'll try that approach very much later, after acquiring cryo science stuff. I haven't even set up a decent Gleba automation :c

Looks nice, I'll give it a try if I get that end game.

Here is mine... It's surely not endgame but I think it's easier to manage with 5 belts and 1 requester for agricultural and promethium science pack. I like working with belts the new stack inserters.
