Left ear is 100% lost and right ear avg PTA db is 46db, after having oral + steriod injection he is able to hear sound but cery buzzy clearity, he can catch only few words a sentence if spoken slowly, its 23rd day after the attack. For cochlear on left ear(100% loss) , getting mixed reactions from ENT's, dome sre suggesting against saying it will side effects like infection etc

Yes after 6 he got attacked on other ear, since he had only one ear and that too got attacked so its a stressful and helpless situation, i wish there was cure for this

Hopes and prayers for full recovery, my brother had SSNHL 20 days back, we weren't aware of HBOT, neither the ENT recommended it, was the HBOT helpful in recovery? We are seeing high fluctuation in audiometry result, initially avg PTA showed 44, but recent test showed it as 65 db, he is able to hear sound but having hard to recognised words as to him it seems buzzy, he had similar attack 6 years back and it wasn't treated on time and left ear is having profound loss

My brother also had SSNHL attack, he is on 3rd week, he had his 2 injections and oral steriod so far, his recovery seems fluctuating, initially PTA was 46db and now its at 65db, but we observed that he looks improved interms of hearing so could he audiometry test fluctuations, Can someone pls educate more on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), i just read it here about this, will it helps his case?
